Re: Triangle Approach

The triclopyr showed me I have a lot of bent grass. I think I might be a little late to start treating that this fall with multiple apps of tenacity. What is your guys thoughts on that? Too late or save that battle for the spring?

Triangle Approach

Been working on the triangle approach the past few weeks. Just practicing really. My backyard is mostly k31 with some no mix spread in. This spring I did a blanket app of 24d with killed most of the dandelion and then followed with some spot spraying. This fall I started level 2 and wow talk about t...

Re: FishMi220’s 2020 fall Reno

Well I ended up not doing a front yard Reno just didn’t have the heart to do it this year it doesn’t look that bad so I decided to focus some time and effort on the backyard. I ended up doing about 5500 sqft. I ended up just doing a northern mix with some decent cultivators. Along with renovating th...

Re: FishMi220’s 2020 fall Reno

Oh yeah I know that. I was talking about using the Prodiamine in the landscaping beds.

It’s been very hot and dry in Michigan this week.

Re: FishMi220’s 2020 fall Reno

Ok I have herd of the Preen. I just want something that’s the most cost effective since I have such a large area to manage. I have an idea of how to do a Reno. I’m sure I have a ton of grassy weeds. That’s where I’m going to really need the help if I wanna step up my game. I enjoy learning how to do...

Re: FishMi220’s 2020 fall Reno

Maybe I should be posting this somewhere else but I’ll post it here first. If I decide to open up a few more landscape beds/ flower beds, what do you guys recommend for a weed barrier? Prodiamine? I’ve never used it. I would mulch over it but just don’t have a lot of time for messing with weeds.

Re: FishMi220’s 2020 fall Reno

You’re right it’s a lot of yard for me. I really do need to incorporate some more landscaping to make it easier on myself and dress up the place. I do have a a well so that’s a plus. My plan is to break up my property into manageable sections. I did a Reno on the other side of my front yard 2 years ...

Re: FishMi220’s 2020 fall Reno

Hey Morph anything I can learn I’ll use to the best of my abilities. Gotta have guys like you around. Ok guys. Went and did a little shopping today and liking around at prices. Never realized how much peat moss is. I might have to skip it. I’ve done it before a couple years ago without and it turned...

Re: FishMi220’s 2020 fall Reno

Holy smokes. I feel like I need to take a class to understand all that. Maybe we can “zoom” a class. Very in-depth. I will keep it live “ish” before I kill the best I can. Might be making a slight adjustment to the area I’m going to Reno. I put a tuna can down in the yard and am timing how long it t...

Re: FishMi220’s 2020 fall Reno

Looks like I got some watering to do here pretty soon. Anyone got a thread with suggestions on hose and sprinkler set up? I really don’t have a lot of experience with them. I see some people use in ground sprinkler heads and connect them to lawn spikes. Looks pretty sweet but didn’t know if just imp...

Re: NGB20’s Fall Renovation 2020

Hey NGB20 have you thought about using that soil moist seed coat?? I see you haven’t mentioned that. I know a lot of guys swear by it on here. I’m thinking I’m going to order some. Every little advantage you can get right? Just an idea for ya.

Re: FishMi220’s 2020 fall Reno

My brother stopped at menards yesterday and said they were all out. Need to get on it. I have tomorrow off, so I’m going to start gathering supplies. I’ll let you know if I score!! How alive does my lawn need to be to kill it off?? I’m thinking this week I’m going to tighten up my plan for irrigation.

FishMi220’s 2020 fall Reno

Ok guys let’s start from the top. Purchased the house 4 years ago and it’s out in the boonies so nobody around here cares about there yards. Most cut it as short as possible about once every couple of weeks. This is my first house and I’ve always respected a nice clean and well maintained lawn and l...

What is everybody’s thoughts on this blend?? I found one at a local sod farm that is identical. Hey NGB20 what’s your set up for irrigation? Do you have in ground?
