Re: Is Bullseye Gone?

The "current" Prime Time mix is

33.13% Hot Rod Tall Fescue
33.05% Firebird 2 Tall Fescue
32.90% Turbo RZ Tall Fescue

It used to be 1/3 Bullseye.

Re: How destructive are fungicides?

I use fungicides to control brown patch. Here is a thread of interest. https://aroundtheyard.com/forums2/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=13904 IMHO I think tiemco hit it out of the park. Has anyone ever looked at the literature regarding the results of turf fungicides on soil fungal populations? Well I have, an...

Re: Triclopyr 61% mixing rates

Ester or amine would be on the label. I would say you are good with 3 hours before the rain.

Here is a link comparing amine and ester formulations.

Re: Triclopyr 61% mixing rates

I use the high rate of 3/4 (0.75) oz of 61% to a gallon of water. My backpack sprayer is 4 gallons and I add 3 oz + NIS for a full fill.

Low rate is half of the high rate on my label.

Re: Need Seed Advice

I have seeded as late as 10/31 and had good germination. If you don't have seed and want to have a go at it, SLE over on Murfreesboro Rd (across from Publix between Antioch and Lavergne) has a decent TTTF blend called Prime Time for about $70/50 lbs. You can always go up to Springfield and see Bob H...

Re: Brown Patch Treatment Success

Here is a note from a smart fellow: Has anyone ever looked at the literature regarding the results of turf fungicides on soil fungal populations? Well I have, and I think I am the only one. Seems like the idea that fungicides completely destroy the soil microherd is basically doctrine on BL/ATY, unf...

Re: Chicago style Italian Beef Sandwiches in a Crock Pot

Picked up a sirloin roast on sale today and into the pot it goes with the goodies. Scored some Dell'Alpe hot giardiniera for this go'round to boot. Thanks again Gary. We miss you around here.

The 29-0-4 is polymer coated urea, urea, muriate of potash. Per the bag instructions, it fertilizes 15ksf per 42 lb bag (0.8 lb N/ksf)

The 10-10-10 is urea, ammonium phosphate, muriate of potash. 40 lb bag.

Re: Possible brown patch, clumping fescue, where did I go wrong???

High fertilization rates promote BP in my transition zone region. I did fertilize this year but that was on March 15th.

I would look into a strobin fungicide product such as azoxystrobin (Heritage, Strobe, one more "generic" that I can't recall the name) if you want a curative remedy.

Re: Managing Fescue During HOT Summers - Philosophy?

I like Bullseye. I used to could get 50 lb bags but last year I overseeded with the Prime Time blend that I can pick up locally for a pretty good price. It always has Bullseye plus two or three other cultivars.

Glad to announce that my lawn will once again be the recipient of dogorganite! As you know, our Winston, Cocker Spaniel died just before last Christmas, but we have adopted a mother doggie and her son from a local rescue. Maddie is a 2 1/2 year old coonhound/foxhound mix. The father of her 5 month-...
