Re: DevilDawg’s New Lawn - Spring 2021

Great looking property, and once you get some favorable weather and it all takes, it's going to look awesome. Good luck and keep us posted on how it comes along!

Re: Photos from Saturday's lawn project

Ed - ha, yes it was! Thankfully it was composted manure, so no odor to speak of.

DD - thank you! Still a work in progress, but coming along nicely.

Photos from Saturday's lawn project

Hi everyone, wanted to share some photos from this past Saturday's lawn project. We put down 7 cubic yards of 50/50 organic compost and composted manure. Came up about 2 yards short in the back, so have more coming this week to finish the job. Our house was built two years ago and the grass (TIF ber...

Re: Jamo's Soil Test

Again, thanks for the tips and advice. I'll poke around the site and see what other tidbits I can pick up in the process, and I'll also plan on submitting a soil test in March of next year before anything goes down on the lawn.

Re: Jamo's Soil Test

Thanks, Andy. Not exactly a bowl of sunshine you are serving me, but still, I appreciate the advice! Do you see any concerns with me putting down a .25" top dressing of 50/50 organic compost and composted manure this weekend? The lawn (and house) are just over 2 years old, and this will be the first...

Re: Jamo's Soil Test

Hi Andy, thanks for your help. To your questions: (1) Yes, it was AA. (2) Yes, I did one of those Amazon soil tests earlier in the year and applied triple 13, Ironite and sulfur following those results. I then found ATY and decided to do a second test and leverage the expertise of the good folks on ...

You're on it, Jamo. I was about to read it, but see that Andy wants to handle it...and I can guess why. :-)
Uh oh. Maybe I should take the blue pill then and go back to doing what I was doing?!?! :P

Hi Andy, my apologies, as I'm not seeing the queue. Can you point me in the right direction of where it's located? Thank you!

Jamo's Soil Test

Hi Everyone, I'm in Colleyville Texas (a suburb of Dallas Fort Worth) and this is my first post on the forum. I know that this is the busy season for soil tests and that I haven't been a member for 90 days yet or an active poster, but nevertheless I'm hoping that someone wouldn't mind taking a look ...
