Re: Is this the correct plan for killing bentgrass with tenacity?

I'm in the middle of doing the same and my lawn looks very similar to yours. I was wondering if you guys would continue fertilizing while doing the Tenacity applications. I already put down Milorganite about a month ago and was going to put down some urea this weekend along with the second Tenacity ...

Tanksfurnutin 2019 Soil Test

Hello all. I have about 11,000 sqft of lawn that you guys have been helping me with for several years. Unfortunately, because of health issues I was only able to do the initial applications last year. Looking at the numbers it seems like the soil has taken a step backwards versus the previous years....

Re: Tanksfurnutin Soil Test 2018

I put down the SOP as recommended and definitely want to put down the Boron and Manganese. Please let me know the application rates when you have a chance.

Thanks again Andy.

Tanksfurnutin Soil Test 2018

We have approximately 11,000 sq/ft of lawn that and have been doing soil tests for the last several years. The lawn is a northern mix that I mulch mow and have not removed the leaves in several years. Unfortunately, I have fallen behind in fertilizing the lawn and it really shows. In the last week I...

Re: Tanksfurnutin Soil Test 2017

I put down lime and epsom salt last weekend. I am hoping to put down milorganite and micros next week sometime. Do I need to put a listing back in the interpretation queue so Andy can run the numbers?

Re: Tanksfurnutin Soil Test 2017

Thanks Hoosier. So I should use Pennington Fast Acting Lime with the epsom salt? Also, if I'm using 19-0-19 how many pounds per K sqft should I put down?

I'll wait for Andy to let me know about the micros.

Thanks again.

Tanksfurnutin Soil Test 2017

We have approximately 11,000 sq/ft of lawn that and have been doing soil tests for the last several years. The lawn is a northern mix that I mulch mow and have not removed the leaves in several years. It has greened up nicely in the last couple of weeks but have had some vole damage over the winter ...

Re: Bewitched, has yours woken up yet?

I have a northern mix lawn. Out of curiosity I did a partial reno (approx. 1500 sq/ft) of my back yard using Bewitched. I have been cutting the lawn at about 2 1/2 inches for the past month now and the reno area is still shorter than the mowed grass next to it. I did my first fertilization this past...

Re: Tanksfurnutin 2016 Soil Test

Oops. Forgot that detail. Plan B is to put down Lesco and then Milorganite with micros over the weekend. Then two weeks after that lime with the epsom salt goes down.

Re: Tanksfurnutin 2016 Soil Test

Thank you Andy for doing the interpretation for me. It is puzzling that there seems to be little change in my soil test over the last few years. I really am following the recommendations that have been laid out for me. Since we are going to go with no phosphorus I will use Lesco 24-0-11. Besides a w...

Tanksfurnutin 2016 Soil Test

Another year another soil test. Looking at the soil test you would think nothing much has changed but if you look at the lawn it has improved greatly. This is the first year that I have done aggressive fertilization in fall. However, because I live on Long Island and it is illegal to fertilize after...

Re: Any SE Mass Seed suggestions...

Last year I had creeping bent in some areas of my front yard that I decided to spray with Tenacity. Since I have a mix like you I didn't want to use anything really dark green. I ended up going with the Cornell Classic from Preferred Seed. The areas filled very nicely and I think it matches pretty w...

Re: Tanksfurnutin 2015 Soil Test

Andy, I'm doing 9 lbs of lime and 2 lbs of epsom per 1000 every 90 days on the lawn?

I will do the micros. How much do you think I need of each for 11,000 Sq ft?

Half of the garden is already planted. The other half was turned but can be turned again if needed.

Tanksfurnutin 2015 Soil Test

This is my fourth year getting my soil tested and looking at the numbers you wouldn't think there was much progress. But I have to say that my mutt lawn looks the best it ever has. So I want to thank everyone for their help in making it look the best it can with the soil/sand I have. I have 11,000 s...

Re: Milorganite sale at true value for $6.99

It looks like they got rid of the "Ship to Store Option". I was able to add to cart this morning while at work but when I got home they changed it to "Available only in Participating True Value Stores."

As a rule I don't order things from my work computer. Kinda bumming right now.

Is there an article or how to on fall over seeding? I am interested in knowing what height to cut before seeding, should I thatch and or aerate, what water schedule, etc. Is this a good FAQ to start with? http://aroundtheyard.com/home1/faqs/61-steps-to-overseeding-steps-to-new-establishment.html Mi...
