Tall Fescue in Dacula? Good luck with that...............

Bermuda likes it about as low as you can possibly cut it.

[quote=bpgreen post_id=336528 time=1566966208 user_id=66] I'm not a warm season grass guy, but I thought centipede is a grass that thrives on neglect and requires little to no fertilizer. Traded in my 1/2 acre for 3 1/4 acres..centipede

Anyway, the days of buying 5000 or even 15000 bags from lowes or wherever are over. I've switched to milorganite the past few seasons on my current centipede lawn and have fallen in love with it....but it would take a small fortune to do 2 acres of grass. Anyway, new lawn in mostly centipede, not it...

What....all of y'all turn your guns in? No post since September 2018

Picked up a few lately, an almost lnib pre 64 win 30/30, a pristine smith K22, '52 and '55 win model 63s, and had top all that high blued/walnut guns with the new glock 48.

Re: Musings of the big box stores

Whatever... I'll never mix gas again. All my headaches went away once I started buying the premixed stuff. Expensive is rebuilding carbs and fighting with small engines when you could have been done doing whatever if you'd have just bought premixed to begin with. If a guy wants to load up a bunch of...

Re: Centipede Overseed Question

won't the pre-m affect the germination of that expensive centipede seed? Centipede seed takes a couple seasons, maybe more to get where you want it to get. For only 300sf, I'd go the sod route and be done with it. A bag of centipede seed goes a long way, you'll have way more than you need for 300sf

Re: Help identify these weeds

Pre-M apps this time of year only help with warm weather weeds. This looks like ryegrass, atleast the 2nd and bottom pic does. A fall application of Pre-m will help with this. I wouldn't worry about it, once it starts warming up, it will die. There are fairly easy to pull by hand though. Atrazine ha...

Don't know where you got the info about not being good for kids. SA with bare feet is awesome. I got a 6 and 9yo with no complaints

Re: What did you get for Christmas?

I wish I had an XL, they just didn't make them when I got my large. A large is barely big enough for cooking for a family of four, can barely put a whole bag of wings on it and certainly don't have the space to move them around if there is a hot spot. Irma fell a tree on my parents bge on their porc...

Re: What did you get for Christmas?

Been grilling on a BGE since the mid '90s. I remember when a large was only a few hundred bucks.

My wife got me one of those worx dolly/wheelbarrow things, It's pretty cool and seems well made. She also got me on of their leaf shredders.

I bought myself a Ruger SP101 and S&W Shield 9mm.

A.

SA in your neck of the woods is awesome and after it is established will be less maintenance than bermuda. I plugged my backyard on 18'' centers with SA and it filled in about 3months time.

Re: How many gun owners do we have here

I've been slowly building my collection back up the past few years. Rifle season starts saturday. Me and the boys have a few new deer rifles to try out on some whitetail this year. A pair of 708 model 7s and I picked up a used 700cdl in 257 weatherby mag. Finally found a decent load for it. 3 shot g...

Re: Thermacell mosquito repellents review

Been using one since the early 2000s, before you could buy them. One of their first reps gave me to try out in the early stages, got over 10 years out of my first one, got to where you'd have to click it 50 times to start. Replaced it a few years back, best things ever, I cannot hunt in the spring/s...

Keep doing what you are doing and pretend it doesn't bother you. As long as he thinks it bothers you he will continue to do it. He'll grow tired after awhile and stop.

Re: Problems with St. Augustine Grass - Brown spot/Large patch?

I'd contact the landscaper, have him remove whatever that is, and put some st augustine down. If you paid for SA, and that isn't what you got, take him to court. Unless that's some weird west coast cultivar we've never seen or heard of..sure doesn't look like SA.
