Propiconazole add surfactant?
I'm trying to prevent brown patch in my TTTF and right now I don't see any signs of it. Since brown patch is a foliar disease I've always added a surfactant but I'm wondering if that's the best approach (it's not mentioned on the label). Maybe add surfactant if you already have a brown patch outbrea...

overseed - tenacity bleached seedlings
I went with a 5oz/A tenacity application prior to overseeding with TTTF and peat. this is day 9 after seed down. does the new grass usually survive this?

Re: Overseed - apply Tenacity before seed and peat?
only a 10 min wait, good deal! If you guys were topdressing with compost instead of peat would you change your approach and apply tenacity after the compost? is it likely you could weeds from the compost?

Overseed - apply Tenacity before seed and peat?
Put Tenacity down before seed and peat? If before, how long do i need to wait after Tenacity before I should drop seed? I'm guessing I shouldn't drop seed while the grass and soil is still wet from the Tenacity? In thread below, the consensus is that applying it after is fine but is it more effectiv...

mow and urea app on the same day?
Any additional risk when mowing and applying urea (1 lb urea/k) on the same day? Seed down for me was back on 9/4 and I've held off until now. If it's best to wait 2 days after a mow I certainly can, but I figured since it's getting watered in immediately it might be safe to proceed.

TTFF overseed - treat brown path amid cooler weather?
I've got about half a dozen small areas with brown patch (i think it's brown patch). I had a similar but worse case last year https://aroundtheyard.com/forums2/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=23375&p=317661#p317661. The photos in last year's thread look identical to this year's. Oct temps have been in the low 9...

Re: oniongrass - 2018 soil test - year 6
I've just recently found a good source for 50lbs bags of milo so those monthly apps won't be a problem. Should i make those monthly apps at bag rate? also, when comes to winterizing should i avoid avoid using a balanced fertilizer? i've used it a few times in the past for that purpose because it's w...

oniongrass - 2018 soil test - year 6
First, a big thanks to the team. The needle has finally moved and the yard is definitely responding now. I've been chugging along following the original plan from 2014 all this time. I knew this would be a long term process but I made a major mistake by delaying my soil test. It now appears that I'v...

Re: Fungus wrecking overseed
It's looking better and better each day. It 's becoming hard to tell I had disease at all. As far as the PGR goes, I doubt it played a significant role in the fungus. The parts of yard that got hit were those that are in full sun and I realize now I was watering too much. I think the combination of ...

Re: Fungus wrecking overseed
Heritage knocked it out (didn't water for 48 hours after spraying) - only a few areas showed drought stress on day 2. I saw no evidence of the disease spreading after 24 hours and by day 4 things were already looking better. Almost a week later you can see where the disease struck but it much less p...

Re: Fungus wrecking overseed
I discovered I still had a little Heritage DF 50 left so I was able to use it up and blanket spray at .35oz/K. Unlike the generic label, this label states: Heritage may also be used during overseeding of dormant turfgrass. Heritage may be safely applied before or after seeding or at seedling germina...

Re: Fungus wrecking overseed
Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately, even w/ the cooler temps it spread even more today. I'll hit 1/2 of the front yard w/ heritage. The grass under the shade of the hickory is unscathed so I won't treat that area. Likewise the back yard which has several large trees shows no sign of fungus. The He...

Fungus wrecking overseed
All seemed OK just a few days ago, but now it appears that I've a fungus spreading rapidly. We've had temps in the mid 90's the last 8 days and I probably overcompensated w/ the watering. I kept the soil constantly moist - in hindsight this was probably a critical mistake. So what should I do - wait...

Sourcing Fresh Serenade
I recently purchased Serenade concentrate online but it was manufactured 11/23/2015. From other posts here it seem like Serenade has 2 yr shelf life so I'm probably OK since I will use it up this season. Where have the rest of you been purchasing it? Also, I noticed the bottles do not have a seal un...

Re: grassy weed unaffected by tenacity
I really don't know if it's Triv - I was hoping someone could identify it. It has been growing in several isolated clumps and it's definitely a lighter green than the TTTF (even before the tenacity spray) and it's really thick. it seems to yank out fairly easily though. it looks terrible and would l...

Re: grassy weed unaffected by tenacity
My yard is TTTF (no bluegrass). I used Bonide Super Spreader Sticker at 1 tablespoon/Gal. It did rain about 4-5 hours after application (<.25") but from what i've read tenacity is rainfast w/in several hours. here's the breakdown: front:3k - 3 Gal water - 8.2 mL tenacity - 3 tablespoons Bonide sprea...

grassy weed unaffected by tenacity
I thought this might be poa but perhaps not. i did a blanket 4oz/A spray 12 days ago and this lime green grass has been unaffected. the clover didn't suffer much either though (just a few spots show a hint of white). so perhaps I should do another blanket spray at 4oz/A at the 2 week mark or should ...
