Thanks Andy! It's amazing how many people are here now. I don't have the mule on hand...I always have really clean laundry in the summer. I'll ping you when I get it
That's great HLG! I plan to do the same when I can.

Colleague's Soil
Just posted mine. Advised a colleague a bit last year and his lawn took off. He lives in a 100 year home and has a northern mix. Got him to adapt good practices and convinced him to do a soil test this year. He didn't quite follow my instructions and grabbed from one spit, under his deck where nothi...

Snachs' 2014 Soil
Happy spring all. I've fallen away from daily reading here over the winter but try to check in when I can. I hope everyone is doing well. Got my soil test in. I took it a bit easy last year with kid #2 and new job but applied everything per Andy's (aggressive) plan and maintained good practices. Mos...

Looks great. Any further opinions on timemaster now that you've gone through the heaviest growth part of the season?

I think it's been a year since I endorsed the rapid reel last and it's still operating flawlessly. Probably the only tool I havee that I couldn't fathom trying to upgrade.

Just got back from 5 days away and lawn is night and day. Fungus, some heat stress, and the triv which rebounded with all the rain is toast. Oh well, there goes summer 2013

Re: Knockout Issues
Thanks all. I ended up spraying with chemical insecticide yesterday. About 75% of the leaves have been eaten and I wanted to stop it quick. I hope to not have to spray anything in the future...I don't for my lawn or anything else. I cut the roses down to about 6 inches this year to remove damaged ca...

Re: Knockout Issues
Just went out and you called it Bern. Tons of little green caterpillar things on the underside of the leaves. I sprayed again with the neem and did my best to get the underside of the leaves but it is not easy, especially in the middle of the plant. I think I'm going to go chemical to halt them fast...

Re: Knockout Issues
Yes that is the stuff I have but in a ready to spray bottle vs concentrate. Things have gotten worse since I started using. Should I try a different product? I'd long term prefer to start organic but I just want to win the war quick and have a good season of flowering. If I do try another product, w...

Knockout Issues
Bought and planted 2 knockouts last spring. Good first season. Put on good growth. Around October I got some fungal issue and didn't get a chance to address it properly. Black spots on stems and leafs eventually fell off. This is while others in the area were still full. I wasn't sure if they surviv...

Ethanol free gas
A couple posts this spring mentioned sticking to ethanol free gas. I found some websites that have lists but none show anything near me. The few gas stations I use all have ethanol. Any advice on an easy way to locate pure gas? [ Post made via iPhone ] http://aroundtheyard.com/forums2/images/mobile/...

Re: Looks like it is seeding time
Just came in from mowing. Lots of seeds. Some got eaten by blades and others survived. Got me wondering...once the seeds are mowed, does that do it for that blade of grass or can individual blades continue to produce new seeds? Another seed question...my back which is a mix of unknowns has been over...
