Re: 2023: What Did You Do On Your Lawn Today (Cool Season)

Morpheus...what is your current feeding schedule? I know you used to go heavy on organics but I think you have backed off a bit.

The part that I struggle with is getting a firm monthly plan in place that I can work towards. I would like to have everything on hand in advance.

Re: Spider Mites on Arborvitae

Hey Morpheus..I was hoping you would see my post. This afternoon I bought two bottles of BioAdvanced Insect, Disease and Mite Control and had enough to spray about half of them. I will try your approach as well..wondering if I can use the hose end sprayer for the dishsoap, or if it will be too thick...

Spider Mites on Arborvitae

We have a row of 32 Arborvitae that I planted three years ago as 5-6 foot plants. They are now between seven and nine feet. This week I noticed two were a bit bronzey green looking and I started to do some reading. That was when I learned about Spider Mites. I have read thru some old threads and wan...

Re: No rain, no irrigation, what to do?

Does it? I'm seeing a 20% chance of showers for Sunday/Monday over here. They've put the little showers sign on the day, but I consider that overly hopeful.

I guess i was hopeful for something. 30%-40% next Friday and Saturday, scattered Tstorms next Sunday, 30%.

It's been a number of years since I bought my seed...Where do Andy and Morph like these days for sod quality gold labelled KBG seed?

In the past I have used the following:

Midnight, Moonlight SLT and Bedazzled (Side)

Midnight, Bluberry, Bedazzled (Front and Rear)

Tractor Supply sells pelletized bedding 40lb bag for $5.99. I used it last year, although it went through the spreader a little slowly.

Re: Ecoscraps fertilizer? No Milorganite

I can’t comment on Ecoscraps, but try the ace hardware across the border in Easton, PA (assuming your location is accurate). Looks like they have Milo in stock based on the website. I am in Easton, Pa and the ACE did not have Milorganite last week when I ordered as I had to go to Broadheadsville. W...

Re: Lime green patches

Morpheus,

Once the offending sections light up, I think I read that you will respray in 30 days? How often is this repeated? What else is involved? I will be spraying mine this week...thanks in advance.

Gordon

PS..I went to Albright's yesterday...

Albrights Mill in Kempton, PA

Quick question for those familiar with grains storage, SBM, CGM, etc... I am in Easton and Albright's is about 45 minutes from me. I was thinking about taking a trip and picking up grains for the season if it would store well, but don't want to create an issue with mice. I have purchased grain meal ...

Re: Lime green patches

I have the same problem this year in a lawn that was a renovation a few years back...my front lawn is much worse as I think the snow plow has been depositing the scrapings in my front yard..need to reinforce my preemergent barrier as I let it slide somewhat last year. Will be following along here as...
