Re: Is Milorganite Safe?
Thanks for those links turf toes. I generally agree that people are probably overstating the metals thing. Btw, I’m pretty sure the multivitamin I take has certain metals including zinc, iron, .... HLG, I think you have a point in that ironite is far more sketchy with the arsenic and other stuff Gar...

Re: Is Milorganite Safe?
I have read nothing but good things here about Milorganite, so I was a bit taken back by a comment that a Lesco dealer just made to me. I was there for other reasons, but the Milorganite topic came up and he told me to "be very careful" how much I apply. He went on about all the "heavy metals" that...

Re: Applying Tenacity Soon
You can get dimension or barricade from Site One or another lawn care supply store and it will last you years and be a lot cheaper than tenacity.

Hoosier,
I bought my SOP from kelp4less and wasn’t that bad price wise. If you order from their website shipping is free. The prill (?) was a little big, but I’m sure it will be fine.

Re: Lithium Ion Sprayer from Sprayers Plus
Little update...the sprayers plus sprayer is really good quality. Impressed with the materials and features. Knowing ryobi products I’m sure it doesn’t come close. The included fan tip only gets me like 20”, so that will need upgrading.

Ringer also uses the grains, so that’s good. Ringer is 10-0-6 and that one you linked is 10-0-2, fwiw. Looks like ringer is $10 more per bag.

Can't edit my post for some reason, but I would like to change #2 to chickweed. And meant to say "lol", not "loo".

What do you wear when spraying for weeds, fungicides?
I'm buying an electric sprayer. It'll get used for weed sprays, fungicide, and at some point pre-m (have enough granular Dimension for now). Has me thinking about my current method of old hiking shoes and shorts. What do others do? Always pants? Old shoes you don't care about getting nasty sprays on...

Re: Help with weed(s) ID, please
My backyard is like one of those African ant colonies; it’s a single, living organism made up of countless weeds of varying type. I’d like some help IDing them so I might better kill them. There is definitely clover and crabgrass, but any idea what else is hiding in there? https://s1.postimg.cc/15h...

Re: Covering seed
I like peat moss because its lighter and easier to spread. 1) Take a bale, open and dump it in driveway to break up, 2) scoop up with bucket and walk around yard, flinging it where needed. Some folks don't like mulch, topsoil, etc... because those areas will stand out more as the nutrients will make...

Re: Biggest lawn care regrets?
Regrets; Not understanding which products to use for weeds for pre-emergence, and post-emergence control. I use one pre-m and about three post sprays. Took me a while to get here. Stick with a hodge podge lawn the first few year in my house, before killing it and starting fresh. And last, not so muc...

Re: Water solubility and permanence of Potash in soil?
Well, setting aside what we don't know, that helps. Guess I'll go with granular. Will need to find another source besides kelp4less....$20 for the SOP and $20 for shipping(!). I was able to find the "powder" (more like salt) form on Amazon. Since I have prime shipping's not an issue. So, apparently...

Yeah, not too many farm stores nearby. I'd have to drive out to the country.

Re: Water solubility and permanence of Potash in soil?
Old thread I know, and that article was helpful. But I have a choice of buying a granular SOP that kelp4less sells, and use a spreader, or more of a powder like this one: https://www.amazon.com/10-Pounds-Potassium-Sulfate-Organic/dp/B008NWUXL8/ref=sr_1_2?rps=1&ie=UTF8&qid=1520520659&sr=8-2&keywords=...

True about being able to return it, I just trust the quality of the Sprayers Plus models a little more. Never been that impressed with Ryobi tools.

Re: Dimension and Tenacity Apps for this year
You could do program #2 as a split app, some now some in may. Program #1 in may seems iffy considering it could act as a pre-m for up to 5 months (oct!).
