Re: Gregt848’s 2023 soil test

Hey Morph! One more question for you, how many lbs per K of the high nitrogen fertilizer and the 10-10-10 should I apply? I’ve found 29-0-4 locally if that works. Hopefully laying it this week!
Thanks!!!!

Re: Gregt848’s 2023 soil test

Thanks Morph! I knew the back was in far worse shape than the front. I will follow the plan you recommended! Thanks for letting me know about the Potassium sulfate, I ordered it that day. A few questions that come to mind.. Do I need to wait 2 weeks after applying the lime, to spread the epsom salt ...

Gregt848’s 2023 soil test

Good morning! Super excited to see the results of this years test. This will be the 3rd time I’ve tested the soil at this house. The previous two years, I’ve combined the front and back into 1 test. This year I decided to do 2 separate tests for the front and back. Reason being, I notice the front i...

Re: Soil test for vegetable garden

Thank you Morph! I appreciate it. I’m further away than 10 ft. I’ll send in another soil test for the area, and likely will raise it as well.
Thanks for info!

Soil test for vegetable garden

Good evening! I just sent off my soil test for this year to Logan labs and I started wishing I had added in a third. Can’t wait to see the improvements!! I’m looking to do a small vegetable garden in the back section of my property this year. The area is currently brush and has reminiscent of old Ti...

Gregt848 2022 soil test. Year 2!

Good afternoon! A little late this year but got my soil test results today. This is the second year for testing the soil at this house. Not too much has changed from last year, I followed morph and Andy’s recommendations to a T. I am very curious to see what has changed from the last year and if the...

Re: Gregt848’s 2021 soil test

Outstanding answer Morph! Think I might go that route. I have already noticed a huge difference just in the one lime app and the 10-10-10 monthly! Thanks guys!

Re: Gregt848’s 2021 soil test

Hey guys- Question regarding the lime applications. I was hoping to get three applications down this year. I put the 1st one down May 1st which would bring me to august and November. Is November too late to do an app? Wondering if I could cheat them a little or if I should only do 2 if November is t...

Re: Gregt848’s 2021 soil test

Thanks Morph and Andy! I’ll readdress July and August when it gets closer. I picked up some JG mag-I-cal lime. It’s been 2 weeks since I laid the 10-10-10 so likely will do it over the next day or two. My question. I seeded a small area around a patio and just beginning to get some germination. The ...

Re: Gregt848’s 2021 soil test

Thanks Andy!
Glad to know that there is some hope. Thank you for your time. I picked up some 10-10-10 today. How many lbs per k should I spread?
The Lowe’s was out of the lime you recommended but I’m planning to hit another store tomorrow. Should the 10-10-10 and the lime be spread apart?
Thanks!!!!

New seeding area spring

Good Morning, I usually do my over seedings and renovations in the fall which is recommended. This spring I do have a small area that needs to be seeded after we had a patio installed. I was just curious as to what is the best time in the spring to do the seeding. Is it around the same time as the f...

New seedlings and grains

Good evening,
I reseeded a new area and over seeded the entire front lawn 10 days ago. Starting to see some germination and keeping moist.
Any concerns putting down a grain like alfalfa pellets this close to seeding?
Thanks!

Re: Any natural remedies to getting rid of clover in my yard??

Good Morning, I'm in a similar situation with lots of clover and creeping charlie. Trying to avoid chemicals with the little ones crawling around. I know its not exactly organic, but does anyone have any feedback of the Iron HEDTA products like Bayer Natria? I have read mixed reviews but I do think ...
