Re: Kombi-type power broom/sweep?
I have the sthil kombi system. I do not have the brush yet but probably will get it. I have seen guys clean snow also with it. I have the biggest unit. The extra power is great for the attachemts. The pole saw cuts like butter and the hedge trimmers do not miss a beat. But with every pro comes a con...

Re: Pao annua control?
I also agree with Andy but here is something i tried. I could see patches in my lawn. I used tenacity at the spot spray rate and hit what i could see. Right now its stark white after two weeks. We are getting close to going dormant here. Im not sure if the poa will go dormant and come back in spring...

Re: Thoughts on slitseeding - Fall Reno
Mostly. Mechanical Aeration is good for curing Mechanical Compaction. Please send pictures of your cattle herd or truck fleet that causes mechanical compaction. I agree with Andy on this also. No real need for core aeration either. Once again the core plugs can bring up weed seeds or unwanted grass...

Re: Pull bleached poa annua or leave it alone?
I would leave it to die. Any left over kbg in the area you can start weekly fertilizer apps to get the area to fill in. Just have to wait it out. You go and start pulling anything you will disturb the soil and possiabley bring 10000 of poa seeds to the surface to germinate.

Re: Thoughts on slitseeding - Fall Reno
General rule is no and i will let you know why. Every time you disturb the soil you bring up thousands of weed seeds. You are alwasy going to get unwanted weeds and grass in a reno. Slit seeding is not needed to get soil contact. So why create a problem for yourself at the beginning of the most stre...

Re: When to let the yard "go" until Spring
You want to stop fertilizing when thr lawn has stopped growing. This is normally when you winterize the lawn for spring. Using a fast acting nitrogen will insure that the roots store energy for a quick spring clean up. I have put my winterizer down in November all the way till just after new years d...

Re: JG LI's new house seeding...
Welcome back; I use the earthy and do it by touch. Each bag of urea seems to have a different prill size so I open it up slowly until I get an even light distribution. I was hoping you were not going to say that hahaha. I have not bought any urea yet. I have only spread one bag of fertilizer so far...

Re: growing media
You can mix in any type of fertilizer you want with the flowers. I like to mix in granulated fertilizer with the soil that I will be using. Then if I need a boost then use a liquid fertilizer. I also add in soil moist to each pot to keep watering to a minimum. [ Post made via Android ] http://around...

They sell those woven (moss? /peat?) Liners st home depot for hanging baskets. You could line the inside with that. Or maybe use some landscape fabric to line the inside.

Re: earthway s15 on sale
This is how it started last year. Each day it would go down $10 or so. Start watching right after Christmas for the lower prices. Sorry Andy I should have been more specific.
