ReD-BaRoN's Spring 2023 Soil Test

Hey Folks, Took the sample in late April, didn't get around to sending it out until last week. Only thing I've put on since the test was Lesco Dimension 30-0-5 at 2lb/k and GrubEx at bag rate. Thanks for any guidance you can give. https://i.postimg.cc/Kk5hTZcz/Brian-Davis-Soil-20230609-162379.png

ReD-BaRoN Spring 2022 Soil Test

Hey everyone, Long time no see! Posting some recent soil tests for guidance. Two different sections, one of which (back) died off late last season and I'm not sure why, so I got that tested separately. I have not put down lime for at least 2 seasons based on previous tests/guidance. Haven't done any...

Can this tree be saved?

This looks like some kind or ornamental birch? It started “dying” from the top last fall. This spring it looks like it’s completely dead, but there are some branches that have new leaves, but they are shriveling. I’ve taken a number of pictures, not quite sure what I’m up against, or if it’s time to...

Re: fert, am I targeting 1lb N per application (once a month)? So: May starter at 1lb of N per k June milo at bag rate July starter at 1lb of N per K .... Tha...

What did you feed with? Did you use starter at drop time?

Yeah, that’s certainly possible, I’ll dial it back. Hopefully Mother Nature helps too, lots of rain forecasted .

Thoughts on what's happening here?

New reno, about a month in. Bewitched mono. Compost at about an inch, seed down, lite spread of peat moss, tenacity, stater per bag rate. Just started noticing this today. Any ideas? It was growing great, but this has me concerned. No one walks on this grass so it should be damage from that. https:/...

Q re: Tenacity at seed time

I’m about to put seed down on my backyard reno. When using Tenacity at seed time, do you use it before or after the seed goes down, and then before or after the top dressing? I'm guessing after top dressing (thin layer of peat) to take out any weed seeds that might be in it?

What to put on top?

I'm about to move forward with seeding. Are there any recommendations for what to put over the seeds, if anything? I've had bad experience with straw, mostly that it didn't fully decompose and left things very patchy. Any good products out there?

Central Mass - Did I miss the winterizer opportunity?

Life got in the way of winterizing this year, but we really haven't had a deep freeze in the Worcester county area of Mass. Is it too late, and would I be wasting time and money putting it down now?

Re: Sprayer Wand

DFW, I've love to understand how the 8004VS Tee Jet nozzle works for you with a 15psi cf valve. I can only get a tiny stream with 15psi cf, and the Tee Jet chart doesn't show any psi numbers lower than 30 for this particular nozzle. w/o the CF valve I get a nice uniform spray. This combination just ...
