Re: Prodiamine WDG and rain
Chances are good that you are OK, unless the Pre_M was washed off the soil during the initial rain. Thanks Andy. Initially it was a light rain. The 2" rain came 2 days after. I think I'll be ok. Waiting to apply WBG. Today was nice and rain is expected again Thursday, so tomorrow looks to be the da...

Prodiamine WDG and rain
Hello everyone back again for another year! Hope all are well and eager to start the 2024 journey. On Tuesday (April 9th) I applied my prodiamine using my pump sprayer. Per Morph's directions from a few years ago that I kept a copy of... I mixed, in a 5 gal. bucket, 2 Tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon of p...

Re: 2023: What Did You Do On Your Lawn Today (Cool Season)
I can't even remember the last time we had any rain. Only needed to mow every 10 days. It's been cold. Morning in the 40's days 50's and low 60's. Air quality has been awful all week. Thank you Canada. Yesterday torrential rain with hail storm. About .05 rain. Tomorrow in the 80's. Apparrently wet m...

Re: 2023: What Did You Do On Your Lawn Today (Cool Season)
Spot sprayed WBG yesterday.
I see a little clover and oxalis so CCO will be next.
No rain since beginning of May.
Fleeting shower at the moment.
I'm hoping for some rainy days so I can drop my fertilizer.
The lawn needs it badly!
Seedheads popping up however.

Re: 2023: What Did You Do On Your Lawn Today (Cool Season)
Did my second mow Wednesday. HOC 2 1/2" It actually looks pretty good! Today did my 1st round of WBG for the salad greens. Skipped Prodiamine application because the weather just didn't cooperate. :banghead: The forsythia's around here barely turned yellow then went to green quickly. Strange sp...

Re: 2023: What Did You Do On Your Lawn Today (Cool Season)
Mulched.
Home Depot has Scotts Earthgro Mulch on sale. 5 bags for $10.
I got 20 bags of the Brown and spread 10 of them so far with the on/off showers we are having.
Had to stop and take some ibuprofen.
My age is finally catching up with me. I'll be 74 in June.

Re: Who all has put down Pre Emergent?
Between the late snow/ice storms, very cold temps, slow melting, I had to rake around the snow/ice. Then the temps in the high 80's low 90's and no rain since the snow/ice finally melted. The forsythia's started to bloom the other day and now I'm just too tired to apply the Prodiamine 65 WDG. II'll ...

Re: What's happening where you live?
Not a speck of snow anywhere around here. Our temps have been way above normal. They are predicting that's about to change soon. No snow but ice storm possibly. Only used my snowblower once for about a 6" storm back in December. I had filled it with gas for the next storm that never came. Won...

What would you do? Need advice please
Last week we had way above average temps (in the high 60's and 70's). The remnants of Nicole came through and we got about 2" rain. I held off dropping my final fertilizer (32-0-4) due to the torrential rain. The temps have now bottomed out to the 40's since and this is the future forecast. Tonight ...

Re: Leaves dropping extremely fast this year
Green Yes the leaves are pretty much all down in my neck of the woods. What I noticed, on my morning walks, was a lot of the trees leaves quickly turned brown (on the tree) and dropped all at once. Even my neighbor across the street, their huge Oak tree has been bare since last weekend. Usu...

Re: 2022: What Did You Do On Your Lawn Today?
First frost here also this morning. Average date is Oct. 9 so it's right on schedule. Since I posted last about lack of rainfall in the summer.... and thought the lawn was a loss We have had a total of 8+ inches of rain thus far since the end of August. Back yard came back pretty good. Front yard......

Re: Near instant roundup reaction
The reason for asking about the color of the bottle cap is that there are multiple formulations of the (branded) Roundup product, and at least one of the formulations has an additional active ingredient that has an effect of a quick "burn-down". In my experience, it can be so fast that the actual R...

Re: 2022: What Did You Do On Your Lawn Today?
Applied Milo about 10 days ago and got 1" of rain the next day. Sunday I deceided to drop my synthetic fertilizer with rain predicted finally .... since Sunday night however we've had a total of 4" of rain and it's still raining. :banghead: I know we needed the rain but I'm hoping the first day of r...

Re: Milo on dormant lawn
Well, I mean, it's not like the La Nina pattern will never break back to neutral and/or fall will never get here. I say this as I watched my 80% chance of rain dwindle to a 30% chance of showers for tomorrow, and that's it for another week at least , so yes, I feel your pain. That is what happened ...

Re: Milo on dormant lawn
Thanks for the responses.
We are on strict water restrictions here. Have been since beginning ofJune.
Mother Nature has not been generous this year.
I think I will wait for the rain that's suppose to happen this week then drop the Milo after.

Milo on dormant lawn
Is it ok to apply Milo on a dormant lawn?
We are expecting rain this week and I wanted to apply my "wake up" dose.
I think this is the time I usually do it but my lawn never went shall we say full dormant like this

this is what my neighbor say when they see my lawn? What happened??? Between the roller coaster of temps and lack of rain this spring... I took a chance mid may and put down synthetic fertilizer because rain was expected. (big mistake) It rained the day after and that was that for any benefi...
