Well, Eric...it's improved enough to be usable.
Did you clean out the "orifice in the bowl nut"?

Not yet!
Curious what the verdict is? Did you fix it? Or did you get a new lawn mower?

No, but if that proves to be important to do, I'll reread the posts on it. I guess it's a pretty easy part of the mower to work on.
Did you do this?

Re: Lawn Mower trouble - please help

The lawn mower isn't working very well lately, and it's getting worse. The last few days, it almost doesn't turn over when starting. It's been tough starting since sometime last Fall...it would stall a bit, but then finally turn over. Now it sputters for a while, never reaches full rpm, and the cut...

Re: Lawn Mower trouble - please help

Question, do you keep gas in it all the time? Or do you run it dry before storing it?

Here's a video of how they look like --- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jBiFt5vugW5w (see how much more space you have to work with?).

Re: Best practices on changing blades

When I had a rider, I bought these "rider ramps" from HD. The difference from a regular auto ramp is that it does not hit the deck when you ride up on it.

Also, I use impacts and can usually loosen and tighten the blades w/o using 2x4s.

Re: Honda HRX 217 Suction issue

How does your Toro suction compare to the walk-behind? Does it miss sticks? The Toro has plenty of suction and does not leave strips of uncut grass and stragglers. The walk-behind is just a beast (15 hp engine and 3 blades). You'll have to show me examples of sticks you leave in the lawn because I ...

Re: Honda HRX 217 Suction issue

So, is there a better self propelled mower that works better for mulching and bagging with good suction? I have read the Honda is the best overall especially for wet grass. The LCN likes the Toro Recycler... Yeah, get a used commercial unit. :rotfl: I have a 48" walkbehind and it eats up anything I...

Re: ericg’s NJ Front&Side Reno 2016 Blueberry Mono - 2017 Journal

Some pre-graduation pictures. Haven't been able to mow from all the rain. Edges and strip still need to fill in. Plenty of weeds to tackle. But overall very happy with how it turned out. Re: Honda HRR 216 cut quality

FWIW, I never had any issues with my Toro 20332 (I've had it for 4 yrs now) and the cut is always amazing. This Toro 20381 seems to be even better. I wouldn't hesitate buying one.

Re: Oil Changes

That's the heavy duty stuff.....Diesel engine area! Read it a long time ago on lawnsite and a lot of the pros who uses that oil on their eXmark mowers have good things to say about it so it stuck on me. They put 500+ hrs in a season with no issues. I get the 5 gallon jug and do oil changes as I ple...
