Re: I Deny That I Own My Front Lawn...
Remember to wear a mask when you apply, Certainty caused tumors in mice when ingested. Similar to my experience with Glyphosate when I had trouble breathing afterwards because I breathed in particles as I was weed whacking my dead lawn. I forsaked lawns for 5 years because of that, now I am back! Lo...

Brilliant, just brilliant. I may do the same mix this year, Blueberry, Prosperity, Award and Emblem if I can find Emblem.

Re: Poa Plantation Nightmare and Renovation
Wow, after 5 years, I still recall this post and Emblem. Do they still sell Emblem because I just checked on Williams Lawn Seed sight and it is not listed even though I purchased it from them 5 years ago.

Re: What are your early Spring plans?
Just as i did the last 2 years, wild garlic and/or wild onions have emerged in February. You know those scallions you buy at the supermarket? that's what i have! Wish i would've put down Halts in early February. only this year, because the lawn is so green, they actually blended in well, where the l...

Re: Temps needed for taking out poa patches
I had bronchitis (which is an inflammation of your air passageways) all the way back since august. only now, jan 2010, have i almost fully recovered. i am still coughing up mucus, i feel my throat sore sometimes after having a cold drink. I believe the cause of this was that i inhaled very strong Cl...

Re: Poa Plantation Nightmare and Renovation
Well, of course it was too good to be true. I got the renovation down to the final 2.25" height for the Winter, and the light was just right and then I saw... Brighter green speckled here and there in the dark new grass. Hands and knees time. Poa Annua. Three leave young plants all over it. Some bi...

I am guessing you never talked to the workers? and when you saw the new problems you were fuming! :duel: perhaps those new Jacklin seeds like Solar Eclipse will be out by then so you can seed the new section... don't worry, it's all fixable. you bother because you love it! it's so gratifying to see ...

Re: Poa Plantation Nightmare and Renovation
i can't tell you how much i feel for you. in order for any more unwanted seeds germinating in my reno, i applied Pendimethalin in the form of Scott's Halts crabgrass preventer last week to stop anymore Poa T (probably from gusty winds blowing neighbors Poa seeds onto mine). Let us know how you plan ...

Re: Mulching leaves
I am pleased you guy are having fun mulching leaves! Update from my post above: I WILL NOT MULCH LEAVES this year. I have discovered a high Poa Trivialis infestation that i'm pretty disappointed about. Mulching will just help spread the Poa T all over the lawn. i can't describe the sickening thought...

Re: Hand pulling POA...
Thanks, i spent 4 hours outside today taking care of the leaves that are still falling. Absolutely NO MULCH MOWING for me, i defintely have Poa Trivialis so i guess i have to throw those leaves away. I also put down some Pendimethalin otherwise known as Scotts with Crabgrass preventer which are thes...
