Re: "Dark Side Of The Moon" Turns 40
I always thought it held some kind of record so I did a quick search and found the following article on Billboard's site. I can't find a date when the article was written, but according to the wiki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Billboard_200 the 759 weeks mentioned in the Billboard article is now ove...

Re: Sidewalk Edger Recommendations Needed!
Another vote for the Stihl KombiSystem. Edger attachment works great. So does the blower, string trimmer and mini-rototiller. I had 2 Ryobi motors die an early death before I decided to try Stihl. It's one of the best tools I own. [ Post made via iPhone ] http://aroundtheyard.com/forums2/images/mobi...

Re: How many bags did it take you to scalp?
Man, it always amazes me how low you southern dudes mow. I feel like I'm scalping mine when I go down to 2.25". There's gotta be periods of time throughout the season when you have to mow every day to keep it close to 1/3, no? [ Post made via iPhone ] http://aroundtheyard.com/forums2/images/mobile/i...

Re: "Dark Side Of The Moon" Turns 40
Animals was the first Floyd album I bought when it came out in 77. The PRO 4 headphone purchase came next so they could've been the AAA's. DSOTM was my second Floyd album. I actually just tossed the headphones out last year. [ Post made via iPhone ] http://aroundtheyard.com/forums2/images/mobile/iPh...

Re: "Dark Side Of The Moon" Turns 40
I've got the vinyl, CD and 5.1. I spent a good chunk of time in the 70's listening to DSOTM and Animals on an awesome pair of Koss headphones. Those albums came alive on those headphones. Re: Nothing0 (David's) 2013
Well hello there! :) How's life in Ohio? The lawn is actually looking okay. It's not dead right now. Last fall? Back recovered well from some summer damage. Front was the overseed turned reno that I'm really happy with so far (Ask me again in August). I don't have a plan yet other than dig a hole f...

Hi David! Long time no see.
All that P, K & lime for results that go up just a titch or even go down? Holy cow!
How did the lawn look last fall?
What are you planning for this year?

Re: Looking for a good hose
The black rubber Craftsman hoses are great for watering the gardens and washing the car. I've got 2 that are over 10 years old. If they ever die I'll get the same ones again. I bought a 3/4" Flexogen just to run the sprinkler. I never used it for anything else but it is heavier and less flexible tha...

Re: Utility Rates In Your Town
I've always wondered how rates vary across the country. And what difference it makes living next to one of the great lakes and down the road from a nuclear power plant. I live in Mentor, OH (30 miles east of Cleveland on Lake Erie) Water: $0.0045 per gallon Surcharges per month: $9.21 + 6% of the to...

Re: Rollie Pollie, friend or foe?
Friend. We called them potato bugs when we were kids. They are always in the backyard in the wood pile and under dead tree limbs where its dark and damp. I've never seem them chomp on the lawn or any other live plants. [ Post made via iPhone ] http://aroundtheyard.com/forums2/images/mobile/iPhone.png

Yahoo! That means my 10# should be on it's way soon too! Overseeding your KBG with that? No, I'm trying a 50/50 mix of Van Gogh & Bullseye in a couple of areas that the kbg doesn't do good. I think fine fescue was growing there before the reno. It might not be enough sun for kbg. Hopefully it's eno...

Re: What Would You Do Differently?
Next year I'm going to use chemical fungicides as a preventative. Last year I had brown patch & red thread after using Serenade & TKO as a preventative. I ultimately used Immunox, Eagle & Heritage G to get rid of them. This year I used Serenade, TKO, Actinovate and Employ consistently since April, a...

Re: Anybody Vape?
I smoked 1-2 packs a day for 27 years. I quit for the last time almost 6 years ago. I spent almost a year brainwashing myself to the idea that I wanted to be a non-smoker, not that I had to quit smoking. The last two months of smoking I deliberately smoked more thinking that would help me get sick o...
