Salt is washing soda @ 1 tbsp/gal
Anode is rebar.
Thanks for the input.
I have a large area of dense moss that i need to get rid of. Could i use the solution on that? Would the soil have time to recover/dilute the washing soda pH spike? Or is that a "we can't answer that question" question?

Electrolysis water... organic iron?
Hey all, I'm in the process of removing rust from steel by electrolysis. No paint or other coating, so I know no hazardous materials. Will the iron in the water act to kill moss? green grass? I'm no chemist, so I don't have the knowledge to know whether the iron in the water is in a form that will b...

Re: mulching grass and leaves
Hey Andy. I've got a JD LX176 rider with the 48" mulching deck with mulching inserts (cap for the outlet) and I believe mulching blades (they were on the deck when I bought it used). I do lose a fair amount of cuttings from the forward left corner of the deck because the rubber skirt that is part of...

Re: mulching grass and leaves
toes & bern - I've got close to an acre of grass, split between front side and back yards, adjacent to driveway, and at the cul-de-sac. Spreading compost on that much will be a very time consuming endeavor, and time is at more of a premium than $. Boat mentions BLSC - I think perhaps that is the way...

mulching grass and leaves
Hey all - Question for you, but first a little background so you know where I'm coming from. First of all, I want to say that no, I haven't done a soil test. The lawn is casually important to me and my young family at this point. We have neither the time nor the spare cash to be throwing at the lawn...

Re: New Home and new challenge.....
I am prepping the house for my first child! A son, hope he likes grass :) I haven't had a second to start weed control yet. My friend, if you haven't found the time yet, you probably won't after the boy is born. I'd plan on at *least* three years until you can invest a lot of time on the lawn. Cong...

Re: secong WBG app... too late?
Andy, that's more along the lines of my concern than solely the temps. Given the relatively cool/wet spring and mild June in our area, will the weeds have entered their summer-survival mode? I guess WBG is cheap enough I might as well try... thoughts?
Thx

second WBG app... too late?
'Bout 2 weeks ago I spent 3 hours Weed-B-Gone'ing 40k sq ft of my lawn. Primary targets: dandelion and plantain. Both have wilted pretty well but I'd like to hit them again. Question is, am i too late? Temps are remaining below about 85 here (near Danbury, CT) and we've been getting decent rainfall....

Spoke with a wonderfully helpful woman at Chapin. 61900/62000 Differences: 62000 has fold away handle 62000: Chrome plated base / 61900: Coated steel 62000: full back pad / 61900: shoulder straps and lumbar pad Both no longer have pressure regulator, but have constant flow valves, which limit spray ...

Re: chapin 61900 & 62000
I noticed that they also have the 63900: http://www.amazon.com/Chapin-63900-JetClean-Commercial-Displacement/dp/B00GN69NDA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1400257802&sr=8-1&keywords=chapin+sprayer+63900 This has the jet clean, which I'm guessing would also act as an agitator. BUT, it has no regulator. Is it ...

chapin 61900 & 62000
Hey all! Any one know the difference between these two sprayers other than the sst vs brass wand? I can't image that's all the difference with a $33 price difference (Amazon).
TIA.
