Re: Rhode Island/Mass fertilizer seed etc suppliers?

There is an agway in westerly as well, where I got my Urea from. I get Tenacity/Fungicides from Allens Seed. The cool thing about Allen's is you can ask them anything and they will help you out without making you feel like a moron =P

Re: New - But Temporary Lawn. What would you do?

It can be done. It might die and then you have to seed again but its anyones guess at how the weather will be. I seeded the lawn at my church last summer and it survived - no irrigation. You have to remember that most lawn stuff the 'best time' doesnt mean the only time. So learn the reasons why sum...

Re: Thoughts about glyphosate being a carcinogen

Saw dust is known to cause cancer in the state of California. So as long as you don't live in Cali you're fine. I think it has to do with the different trees they have out there. All joking aside, what I wear depends on weather conditions and type of application for any product. If it's windy more p...

Re: Questions for ProPlugger users

I fill the pro plugger up with 10 plugs, then I put them into a plastic bin, and repeat until the bin is full. Then I go around and find open areas that need plugs and make the holes. (the kids put the good plugs into the holes for me). And then when there are 10 dirt plugs in the plugger I go back ...

Re: dangers of human sewage sludge in fertilizing products?

If you read the sources: "Lost sales of Milorganite, disposal of contaminated product and cleanup of the recreation fields cost MMSD nearly $5 million. To prevent another incident of contamination, the fertilizer is tested daily, said Sharon Mertens, MMSD director of water quality protection." Also,...

Re: Professional String Trimmer

OK so the echo speed feed difference, the better one you can insert the new line by sticking it in and twisting and it auto loads it in. But both will hold a crazy amount of line.

Re: Professional String Trimmer

The T in names is for Torque. The engine is the same, but gearbox ratio is setup so the end spins slower but has more torque. So if you aren't planning on doing a lot of ditch clearing I'd go with the non T versions. The 2620 has the speed feed head.. You don't have to pull it apart to add more line...

Re: Close to deciding on seed Hogan Fescue Mix?

If its thin and money isn't an issue you could throw some down now knowing you'll redo in the fall. Sometimes you have to seed to prevent erosion so spring is better than ruts. At least thats what I'm telling myself after I seeded our hill lol. All that aside though if you are here you will want per...

Did you apply tenacity with the seed? It looks like some is white. If you did then you need to wait 4 weeks before applying again.
