Fallowed 3 times in fall still non desirables

Hey it’s been a while. Did a partial renovation for the first time with TTTF and boy, was it easier to grow in then KBG. That said I have some bunches of grass that survived. I can’t use Certainty on TTTF so before I hit it with glypho anyone can make any kind of guess what this is? I don’t think it...

Where did that info come from about residential being targeted for approval over the next few years? Thanks.

“How long until residential gets approved?”
PoaCure “Trying targeting in late 2024”

Wow this would be a paradigm shift in lawn care!

Re: OK, so who was brave/dumb enough to use Certainty?

Breaking out the Certainty this year. I didn’t have a chance to keep a strong regime last year and I knew this spring was going to be brutal based on what the fall looked like. No POA Cure on the horizon and I am past the point of not wanting brown or stressed lawn in the middle of prime spring/earl...

Re: Status of POACure? (Updated 02/2020 below)

I've got almost all of the data I need to do a 2021 update to the PoaCure threads. This year I'll be able to write about what they plan to try to get approval for in the future, what the pricing is, and what the application rates/frequency might look like. Teaser: hitting the lottery might be a goo...

Re: Status of POACure? (Updated 02/2020 below)

Just want to provide a quick update on the use of Poacure at the golf course I belong to. The area that the grounds super used it on (a fairly long par four fairway and rough) is pristine and no reemergence of Poa Trivialis. The guy, and I, are really impressed. Pway how is the the area with Triv l...

I gave up on the other methods to eradicate Triv from KBG. I.e Certainty etc. etc.

Re: Status of POACure? (Updated 02/2020 below)

The split application 2 in the spring 2 in fall with primisulfuron seems to be the ticket.

Re: Status of POACure? (Updated 02/2020 below)

I’m ready! Dr. Shawn D. Askew at Virginia Tech has been testing PoaCure on Kentucky bluegrass fairway heavily infested with Poa annua and Poa trivialis. Summary: 1. PoaCure spring application alone controlled Poa annua very well, but was not very effective to Poa trivialis. 2. PoaCure split applied ...

Re: Spring reno

I’ve done a successful spring reno. Spring isn’t going to be your issue, it’s summer. The baking heat of the day followed by the hot humid nights. I’m sure from your research you know why.

Re: Status of POACure? (Updated 02/2020 below)

I haven’t been around in a while but to have a Triv alternative to glypho is incredible news. The amount of hours alone spent of home turf maintenance, at this price point is valuable - especially those who are past the point of control without wanting to re-do another reno.

Re: When & how to handle nutsedge in ~30day old reno

Tenacity starting to do its job. The first urea feeding gave me about an inch or so of height. I threw some seed down in some bare areas and recommended the first cut at 2.5" today. The thin areas should spout and get to 2.5" before the end of fall and do fairly well into through the winter. I would...
