Thanks, Andy! I appreciate your direction over the years! I just wish you had a magic brew to kill the triv.

Darkcrisis 2021 Soil Test
I’m back again for the 7th season. This sample was taken from various sections throughout my 6000sqft TTTF lawn. https://i.postimg.cc/TyN5RKcc/Daniel2021-Soil.png Last year I didn’t get to spend as much time in the yard or on the forum as I normally do. I did, however, apply SOP and Nitrogen a few t...

Lawn appears to be fully awake now, especially the poa triv. I sprayed my first round of Velocity on the TTTF lawn the other day. 2nd application goes down 21 days afterwards. Enjoying getting to mow at least once a week now!

Re: 2021: What Did You Do On Your Lawn Today?
Woke up today with a yellow bush in the front yard... So, today I cleaned up some fallen sticks and spread pre-emergent. A couple of hours later we got a steady rain to incorporate it into the soil. When things dry up it is time for the first mow. Most of the lawn is still dormant, but the sunny are...

Re: Help with Knoxville, TN lawncare
I'm from Knoxville and have been on this site for a few years, although I was away most of last year. The Logan's Lab soil test and recommendations that Andy and the guys give here are great. It gives your lawn what it needs when it needs it. I get Urea, Sulfate of Potash, and Triple Super Phosphate...

Re: 2020: What Did You Do On Your Lawn Today?
Sprayed 2nd velocity app on the triv in my TTTF lawn. The triv is now growing slower than the tttf and is turning brown. I'll probably apply a 3rd application in 2 weeks but I guarantee i will see it again in late fall early spring.

Re: suppressing Bermuda in a TTTF lawn
I've got a few years of this under my belt with acclaim extra and turflon ester. It will suppress it, but it won't kill it. I thought I won the battle after a couple of years of monthly applications, but after leaving it alone for a couple of months, it came right back. I now spray monthly in the su...

Re: Darkcrisis 2020 Soil Test
The lawn looks great most of the year. It is dark green, thick, and almost entirely weed free. The moss out last year made a huge difference in the color! I enjoy the compliments and mostly enjoy sitting outside drinking a cold beer and admiring the results. Spring problem: poa triv. I've been using...

I'm back again for the 6th season! This sample was taken from various sections throughout my entire 6000sqft TTTF lawn. https://i.postimg.cc/py4VRx6b/Daniel-2020.jpg Last year I applied TSP, SOP, fast acting gypsum, and moss-out a few times throughout the growing season. A couple applications of Mil...

Re: 2020: What Did You Do On Your Lawn Today?
Gathered soil sample, cleaned up flower beds and put out a few bags of mulch yesterday. I'm mowing later today for the first time. There are spots in my yard that need the trim, while others are still rather sleepy.

Re: 2019: What Did You Do On Your Lawn Today?
Overseeded 10 days ago and am cutting back the watering schedule starting tomorrow. Most of the yard looks amazing! The strip along the road that gets full sun is just now starting to germinate. I'll hand water that section several times a day. I picked a dumb time to overseed though. We have had no...

Re: Clovers everywhere
When did you apply your dimension? If you applied it this spring, there is a good possibility it has warn off allowing the clover to germinate. If all you need to get rid of is clover, I would use Weed B Gon Chickweed Clover Oxalis killer (Triclopyr) with the purple label. I'd save the tenacity for ...

Re: Nitrogen, Winter, and Warmer Climates
Dark, what height do you normally take your lawn down to in winter? Do you think constant feeding your TTTF would be okay? I usually go down to 2.5" or 3" for the winter. I don't think I will constantly feed all the way through the winter but I'm thinking I could go another month and stop mid to la...
