Re: Blindside Herbicide for poa annua?

Looking at the product label and the supplemental Poa A label, the rate needed for controlling Poa A exceeds the recommended rate for use on KBG.
It is only labeled to control Poa A in warm season grass types.

HSB’s Soil Test 2022

Attached below is my latest soil tests. This year I sampled the backyard separately as it never got as much attention and seems to struggle more than the front. I wanted to see if there was anything different going on in the soil, but many of the numbers seem similar. The back yard seems very compac...

Keep in mind if you happen to be in Suffolk County, no fertilizer apps are allowed between Nov. 1st and April 1st.

Re: Scott’s ProVista KBG

It’s being grown and sold as sod near me.
I had inquired about purchasing seed, but seed was not for sale yet. Maybe this fall, and it won’t be cheap.

Re: Need Help with Lawn (Pic Included)

Leave it be. Just keep up with proper mowing and watering techniques and see how it comes along. Follow your soil test plan. Patience. Keep up the fight on any weeds if they are a problem. It's still early in the season here on LI, the grass isn't quite running at full speed yet, at least not for me...

Re: Weed ID please

I have quite a bit that popped up in the lawn this year, never seen so much before in my yard. Appears to be bittercress to me. A little spot spray of weed b gon last weekend seems to be doing the trick. It's looking hurt now, but might give it another hit just to be sure.

Re: Who's vaccinated?

Fully vaccinated, got the Pfizer vaccine straight from the source at their campus. Felt crummy after both doses. Aches, chills, mild headache, and very tired on the day after both times.

Re: 2020: What Did You Do On Your Lawn Today?

Walked the lawn. Been wet, cloudy, foggy and just plain crummy outside for a week straight. The grass hasent had a chance to dry up at all. Rust fungus is clearly visible and widespread. Great!

Spread 1 1/2 yards of compost over the back yard in hopes to start improving soil for a potential renovation next year

I vote for nimblewill as well. I also have several patches of it that showed up a few weeks ago.

Re: 2020: What Did You Do On Your Lawn Today?

Found a new use for my recently acquired cement mixer... custom blend fertilizer mixer! Mixed up and put down a batch of low rate urea, slow release, humic, and a tad of leftover Milo

Label on my prodiamine indicates you have 14 days to water it in with at least 0.5" water.

Re: 2020: What Did You Do On Your Lawn Today?

Fired up the zero turn and sprayed some Prodiamine on Sunday, rain watered it all in yesterday. Lawn looks to be greening up down beneath all the brown. No noticeable top growth yet except for a thin strip up against a garden bed retaining wall that faces south with full sun exposure.

Re: What's happening to my blade tips

I have had the same problem with three different mowers all with sharp blades, deck properly leveled, and engine rpm in spec. Interested to see what else might contribute to this...

13psi all around on my Toro Titan HD. Sidewall will only tell the max rated pressure for the tire. Your manual does happen to refer to the sidewall for the front caster wheels though.

Re: Not enough soil contact?

It will be fine, when I reno'd my lawn there was much more stubble and clippings than that. It will decay over time, and the new grass will eventually grow taller than it anyway
