Re: Slyder27's 2016 Fall Reno
Here are 2 up-close pictures of the grass itself for and idea of color. Also, I just put some Milo down yesterday to give it some additional iron to darken it up a bit. It's been pretty wet here the past few weeks, so it's been a struggle to mow when it needs it, get work done and get an accurate pi...

Re: Slyder27's 2016 Fall Reno
That "finished grading from right side f yard" photo looks great -- lots of hard work evident! Curious as to what the plan is with the two large stumps remaining in the front? Thank you!! As for the stumps, I tried to have them removed before doing all this work, but I couldn't find somebody to do ...

Re: Slyder27's 2016 Fall Reno
Alright all... The reno is approx. 4200 sqft. Week 1 - June 18/19 - Irrigation and dra...

Re: Purchasing house - Front Yard Fall Reno
Just prepping the soil for August and the mixed greens that I do have woke up. Ca, Mg, 10-10-10, milo, and some baby shampoo (not all at once of course). Now I am going to water it regularly and see where we stand in two weeks. And still waiting on the tree service to come. They said a month about a...

Re: Slyder27's 2015 Spring Soil Test Results
Hosta are planted this morning along with some hollyhock, lilies, roses, a foxglove and I bordered a bed in lobelia. I tried to put the lilies and hollyhock in a few of the sunny areas I have on the property. Hopefully with the removal of the trees in a few weeks, it will give me more to work with. ...

Re: Slyder27's 2015 Spring Soil Test Results
Dude you're going straight Alpha male Silverback gorilla on the whole thing. I approve. HLG - My father taught me to 'Go big or go home'. Unfortunately, every time I go home I can't help but get upset over the salad greens lawn I have. So the only choice is to go big. And at the moment, I think my ...

Slyder27's 2015 Spring Soil Test Results
Hi all. I have attached my 2015 Spring soil test results below. I am hoping to do a Reno on the 7000 sqft 'lawn' I have in the front. I plan to install an irrigation system before I put down seed (Bewitched monostand) in August and I do not intend on keeping anything that is currently growing. Pleas...

Re: Purchasing house - Front Yard Fall Reno
Thank you all for the kind words on the house. I am really excited to finally put all the things I have learned in my years of being Slave #2 to the 'Poa Plantation' to practice. Carrying all those bags of milo, bails of peat, and having a backpack sprayer on for a countless number hours has prepare...
