I saw it online but have not seen these in person.
TIA.

Re: Moss. Moss. Moss.
Yes, Andy, this is recurring theme. From what I can find through searching the forum archives, the Dawn soap ratio is 3 oz/gallon of water, correct? My rough plan, still in the works, is: zap the moss with the Dawn mix; when it dies, rake the moss. Then aerate, then normal feeding. In past years I h...

Re: Moss. Moss. Moss.
Given that my PH tested out normal I don’t think I have to do much to change the PH. I might just apply some pelletized limestone next month. The focus now will be removing the existing moss, which I’ve always done by using MossEx or something similar. One thing I will do prior to fertilizing is aer...

Re: Moss. Moss. Moss.
The PH test came back. Both front and rear lawns are within the limits (6.6 and 6.3). So my plan now is to aerate the lawn in early spring and feed as usual. I’ve heard about something called “Love Your Soil” which supposedly helps de-compact the soil. Has anyone here used that stuff?

Moss. Moss. Moss.
Moss has run wild this winter, probably due to the warmer-than-normal temperatures. Two questions: when can I start pounding the lawn with pelletized limestone to adjust the PH, and why does the moss seem to grow in stripes(see pix)? I also plan to use MossEx or something similar in the spring. TIA....

Dollar spot and replanting.
My lawn was overrun with dollar spot this summer. Fall replanting season is almost here. Should I rake and replant every spot? Or just fertilize normally and hope the lawn will cure itself? TIA.

Please define “better.” They are definitely not dog urine burns. Closeup pictures where you can actually see the blades clearly. Here you go. https://i.postimg.cc/Sjpr1sML/50-EF2312-52-AA-469-A-8-A06-7339-ABD6-E42-D.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/PPXMhRKP/CC661145-5-CFF-408-A-9-BAE-1-A1-E6-D68-E413.jpg

Re: Limestone question.
The puzzling thing is a lot of my moss is growing in areas where the “experts” say it shouldn’t: well-drained soil in full or near-full sun.
Frustrating as hell.

Re: Limestone question.
Well that goes against everything I’ve read for 20 years. You’re probably right, but I have noticed that the moss is worse this late-winter than ever—and it follows a year in which I didn’t apply any lime. I’ll start by killing what’s there now and go from there. Probably will have to wait a month f...

Re: Limestone question.
I know limestone doesn’t kill moss but it helps prevent it in the future. Should I kill the moss first, then apply limestone?
I just found out the Cape Cod Extension Service does free soil testing I’ll drop off a sample tomorrow.

Limestone question.
Last year I didn’t apply lime to our lawn and am paying for it now. Moss grew wild over the winter.
When is the best, earliest time to hammer the lawn with pelletized lime? And can I also use MossOut or something similar simultaneously? TIA.
