Re: KBG plugs / do you fill in the hole?

For poa triv it's a certainly no, otherwise I flip the plug from the problem area before putting it in, so leaves go on the bottom with roots exposed on top.

Slightly concerned because some seed remained visible on soil.
Throw a thin layer of peat moss to cover them.

One acre and no irrigation? Find a wet week, otherwise pray and lots of whiskey.

Re: Plug aeration do’s and dont’s

Germination rate depends on how well the seeds are kept moist on the ground (w/ or w/o covering), once the seeds dry out they are dead for good.

Cover crop for increasing soil organic matter

Does anyone have experience of growing cover crop to improve soil structure? I have a section of lawn that has very sandy soil and would like to see if this is a better option for me.

Anyone use GreenTRX or Screamin' Green

Just want to hear from those of you who used GreenTRX or Screamin' Green before, how you like either of them? If you tried both which do you prefer? Thanks!

Re: nice way to keep grass from going dormant

Sure, it would not make them feel like hitting on icy bricks when they fall down.

It was -1 here this morning, two days later we will be getting 1 inch of rain, then Friday low will be 3F, pretty wild stuff.

Re: Prodiamine question on app rates

oz is a unit of weight, tablespoon is volume, both would work but I found using a measuring spoon is easier than a weight scale.

Edit: conversion between weight and volume is not as straightforward because of the unknown density, they made things easier by including both on the label.
