Re: gwolf - 2023 Soil Report

Thank you MorpheusPA! you are the best!

Minor question:

When you say bag rate..... Looking at the Lesco 14-14-14 it says 3.5 to 7lbs per 1000 two times per year. Does this mean you want only one bag rate application for march, april, etc...?

Re: Gwolf64's - 2022 Soil Test

Oh, great - I get to start off with a tricky, misleading set of test results... If you just looked at the test results and the minus signs, this does not look bad. But look closer and you see a single number invalidating everything else. Yup, a trap. The TEC number is at a level that means that the...

Re: Gwolf64's - 2022 Soil Test

If Andy's busy, I'll answer--ONCE, unless you're told otherwise. That's a lot of lime and Epsom salt for a low-EC soil. More than that will turn your grass a brilliant chartreuse to golden yellow. I'd recommend application ASAP on that to get it into the soil early in the season. It'll take time to...

I hate when it comes time to kill my rye. But that will happen in March. Time is coming soon. Sad.

Re: Gwolf64's - 2022 Soil Test

Thank guys. My last home took me 5 years to get the soil chemistry perfect. I find it fun being able to attempt perfection again. For reference here are my previous years. I feel like i've made progress.... https://i.postimg.cc/vDGrDMZ9/2-22-21-Soil-Report-2021.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/z3pngMyQ/4-28...

Re: Holly Bush spots and yellow leaves

Just contacted my local co-op and shared the photos with him. He recommended additional nitrogen and over time this nitrogen will lower the PH..... After reviewing the photos more closely, he said the leaf color and brown spots were not what he was expecting so he is going to do more research and em...

Re: Holly Bush spots and yellow leaves

This may sound like a noob question....but.... I assume I can use a Sulphur product to lower PH....? Would this be the best product? I am guessing I need to slowly make PH mods like this....?

Re: Holly Bush spots and yellow leaves

This bush has been there since 2018. Have not done a soil test under the plant.... The closest test I have in in my grass adjacent to this plant. The grass area is PH of 7.3 and iron at 134ppm.
