Re: 2017: What did you do on your lawn today?
Got a bag of Milorganite from the BX. They had it discounted 25% due to it being open. Not sure how much may have been lost; it didn't feel like much. I figured what the heck, for 25% off, why not? Spread it on the front last evening.

Overseeding Centipede with Bermuda
Can someone shed some light on this? I just heard this while I was at lunch. Some other people were talking about grass, and one of them said he overseeded his centipede seed with Bermuda to keep the seed from washing or eroding away. I always thought overseeding should be done with an annual grass,...

Expert Gardener Products
I was in Wal-Mart the other day and was looking for Safer Brand stuff. I came across Expert Gardener Fertilizer, specifically 26-0-2, with Iron. It has over 7% iron in it, which I thought was a good bit. Has anyone used these products before? If so, I'd like to know the results. Pleased, not pleased...

Re: 2017: What did you do on your lawn today?
I put down my first round of 24-0-11. I was wondering what would be the effect if started the water-in with an application of WBG? Anyone think I would damage the grass? I already did a treatment about 2-3 weeks ago. Would another treatment be too soon?

Is my soil that hard?! Pre-m seems to just lay on the ground
I spread some pre-m last weekend, and watered it in. I was doing some other yard work this week and noticed the granules just laying there. I was under the assumption, that watering in would make them dissipate into the soil. Now my soil is red Georgia clay, and kinda hard, but geesh! Am I incorrect...

Milorganite numbers are different at Wal-Mart
My local Wal-marts have started selling Milorganite this year. I noticed the bags have different N-P-K numbers than previous bags at Home Deopt. I haven't been to Home Depot yet this year to see what theirs read. Wal-Mart's read 5-4-0, and Home Depot's read 5-2-0. Has anyone else noticed this?

Re: Mixing 24-0-11 with 34-0-0?
Thanks to all for the replies. Also, this has probably been answered somewhere else on this site, but what kind of scale do i use to measure my fertilizer? Up to this point, I've been just estimating. i know it's blasphemy to guess, so i want to get it right.

Mixing 24-0-11 with 34-0-0?
I was thinking about my next application of fertilizer, as i have started using the Bermuda Bible this season. I wondered what kind of effect would using 24-0-11 and 34-0-0 at the recommended rate, in the same application. Would it be too much at once? Would it be a waste of time? The reason was i h...

Re: 2016: What did you do on your lawn today?
Is it too early for my application of balanced fertilizer? We've had decent weather. Supposed to rain in another day or 2. I'm getting anxious to put something down. I'm starting to get obsessed about this lawn care! [ Post made via Android ] http://aroundtheyard.com/forums2/images/mobile/Andr...

Re: Granular Fertilizer Storage
Timmy G, I'm looking for more organized looking storage ideas...I'm trying to keep my garage as neat as possible. I agree about the Milorganite...an open bag of Milorganite should be a contradiction in terms.

Granular Fertilizer Storage
First off, thanks to all who have posted information that has taught me about lawn care. This is the first year I've really attempted to improve my lawn. With everything I've learned from the people on this site, I think i'll see a drastic improvement. My question is about storing open bags o...
