Awesome job so far! Does it have a dial to set clip rate? With a 15 blade reel the clip rate must be crazy. Depending on your HOC it could become a problem if you're not able to adjust it.

Kelp Help and BLSC are pretty safe to apply at reasonable levels with very minimal risk too.

Re: John Deere shuts off when engaging reel
irias, glad you got it working. Just curious where you bought it from and how your experience was. I am looking at buying one soon as well. Also, if you dont mind, how much roughly did you pay for it? I have found one near me for $200 that I am looking at. I have the SN and am trying to find the ye...

https://s23.postimg.cc/f74rpt7vb/IMG_1778.jpg It's the lever that's down on the left side of you were standing behind it. Can you drive it around with the reel disengaged? If you can roll it around I doubt it's engaged. When engaged it locks up the roller for transport on a trailer, you would defin...

Any way to get some more sun? Remove some trees or thin out the canopy. Pictures would really help so we knew what you were dealing with.

Don't know if you did that yourself but if you did kudos!!! I did - it's what happens when I have too much time on my hands when there are no soil tests to read. Apologies to the original 1822 poet. Since you have so much free time spend 5 minutes and give Ware his account back. Isn't that what Chr...

Re: Picked up a triplex-Rebuilding
Awesome work Pete! Ware wanted to let you know that Toro recommends using anti-seize on bedknife bolts. He was worried that next time you have to replace the bedknife you won't be able to get it off with the thread locker. He had to replace the bed bar on his because the bolts were seized.

Re: why echo 2 stroke is hard to start?
Normally I start it with it laying on the ground, but have done it at operating angle also. If I try to rev it up while it's on the ground it acts like a dog. As soon as I pick it up it runs fine.paulmars wrote:"but if you hold it at operating angle it's runs great." While starting or after starting?

Re: why echo 2 stroke is hard to start?
I've always had good luck with Echo. I always prime the bulb as you posted. First pull with choke on full and it acts like it's wants to start but won't. 2 pull choke off and it will start then immediately die. 3 pull choke off and starts damn near everytime. All pulls with throttle pulled all the w...

Re: 2016: What did you do on your lawn today?
Well it's mid November and grass is still green but looking pale. First freeze of the year is coming tonight so I went ahead and winterized the sprinkler system. Found a zone wasn't coming on, opened up the valve box to find it full of dirt. A gopher I've been battling decided to use it to store dir...

Can you draw a picture of what you're trying to do  I would go to a good hardware/ home improvement store and you'll be able to find what you need. When I installed my system this spring Lowes had everything I needed. [ Post made via iPhone ] http://aroundtheyard.com/forums2/images/mobile/...

Re: 2016 Southern Lawn Pics
Simon any updates? My grass has pretty much stopped growing, went from mowing every 3-4 days to 14 days. I drained all the gas out of the greensmower after last cut but after looking around today I'll need to make at least one more cut. I got a little lazy and let the acre get up to 4"+ and instead ...

Do city regulations say you can't put it closer to the fence? It would make it a lot easier if you could place the shed in the corner

Re: Need help with an idea for my hill
Are you concerned about the sandpaper tearing up or abraising the grass? Those rear drums are mostly smooth (even the dimpled ones) to allow them to spin without tearing or scuffing the turf. I would be afraid of creating some damage if something slipped. [ Post made via iPhone ] http://aroundtheya...

Re: Need help with an idea for my hill
Just a thought but what about getting some sandpaper with adhesive backing. That should be able to grip while still being able to be easily removed, also not changing HOC very much. I have a steep hill of my own I might pick up some tomorrow and give it a shot. I've been mowing it all year with the ...
