Re: Tenacity and Seeding - Timing Question
If the purpose of the Tenacity is as a pre-M, you should have just applied it before the rain (unless torrential). After all, Tenacity used as pre-M is a soil application requiring sufficient water to penetrate. The label even clearly states, "Dry conditions following application may reduce the pre...

Tenacity and Seeding - Timing Question
Good Morning All, Sunday, I put down TTTF/Starter Fertilizer on a neighbor's yard. I knew that it was supposed to rain within a few hours of putting it down, so I held off on the Tenacity application. Now that it is Thursday, I am assuming there has probably already been a little germination startin...

Re: Casutherland - 2019 Soil Sample Results
There are deficiencies but the same plan that you did last year is closing the deficiencies at a moderate, sustainable pace. Don't fight success - it's far rarer than you think. For the grub stuff, open a different thread - it isn't addressed as part of a soil remediation plan. Will do! You got it....

Re: Casutherland - 2019 Soil Sample Results
Ummm, that TEC just refuses to stay still, doesn't it... Look, what you're doing is working - the soil is rounding out nicely. Keep it up! I know you had a tough time with the grubs, but you know how to deal with that. I suspect the disease is from weakened plants (grass) from the grub damage. It's...

Re: Casutherland - 2019 Soil Sample Results
Just to add onto the notes above... Last year I dealt with a lot of Fungus and Disease. More than I ever have. We had a hot/wet end of August and September. Nashville also has received around 30-35 inches of rain from October 2018 thru February 2019. I have several areas in my back yard that died fr...

Re: Need Seed Advice
That is so crazy you were above 90 until like 2 weeks ago, and are now hitting below 40. Where did Fall go? You are about a month behind me in terms weather/sun angle change for Fall, and I had no choice but to seed TTTF into October due to rain washing it away before that. (I had to redo it.) Whil...

Thanks man, I will probably go pick some of this up actually. I work about 10 minutes from there. So that is perfect.

Need Seed Advice
I live in Nashville, and this has been one of the harshest summer/early fall that we have ever had. Up until about 2 weeks ago, we have been in the mid 90s with major heavy downpours throughout. September was the wettest month we have had in 20 years. It also does not help that I have a neighbor wit...

Re: Knockout Rose bush - bug infestation?
You may want to research making and using a homemade neem oil spray. I have used this approach with little success. Now the roses are under attack from Japanese beetles. I just wish that one year, I could have nice healthy roses lol. Always under attack from slugs, sawfly larvae, and Japanese beetl...

Re: Grubs & Japanese Beetle Damage
Unless all your neighbors do the same, grub prevention in your own yard will do nothing to save your rose bushes. Here are my thoughts and approach on the subject: Re: Japanese Beetles found on plants... what to do? Re: Linden Tree and Japanese Beetles Thanks Timmy, I may pick up some of those trap...

Grubs & Japanese Beetle Damage
Hello all, I recently noticed that Japanese Beetles have absolutely destroyed my rose bushes in the front and back. Apparently none of my neighbors want to treat their lawns with grub prevention, so I get all of their Japanese beetles from the grubs in the ground... Is now a good time to apply grub ...

Re: Identify Tree
Roughly the same time as other Acers, which is about now. Your tree undoubtedly is a seedling and may not be mature enough yet to produce seed, which can take 10–15 years. But confirming it as a boxelder is pretty trivial otherwise. There aren't many trees with two compound leaves at each node. Hmm...

Re: Identify Tree
What time of the year would it produce these "samaras"? I do not remember seeing any of samaras around last year.TimmyG wrote: ↑May 29th, 2018, 4:20 pmPossibly boxelder (Acer negundo). See also gobotany. If so, it's not a particularly desirable tree. ID is confirmed if it produces samaras.

Identify Tree
I had a ton of weeds back behind my house and hired someone to completely change my landscaping. They found this tree amongst the weeds. It seems healthy now, and is growing quickly. What type of tree might this be? Any help?? https://s22.postimg.cc/e9s8ozngt/IMG_20180529_132224.jpg https://s22.post...

Re: Kleims Hardy Gardenia Bushes
No I didn't, but I purchased them at a local nursery so I figured that the soil should be sufficient if the local nursery was selling them. I have reddish brown clay down here.

Kleims Hardy Gardenia Bushes
I planted these back in mid March and it looks like they are about to start blooming, but recently the leaves started yellowing and browning. Anyone know what may be causing this, and how to fix it?? https://s18.postimg.cc/4vguiv105/IMG_20180505_143426.jpg https://s18.postimg.cc/vgjdeevnp/IMG_201805...
