Re: Reseeding lawn and pre soak grass seed
1. I see my lawn is a bit thinned out in the backyard. 2. The whole lawn is 12000sqft. 3. No irrigation system but have few hoses and a timer. 4. Yes I read it stinks. But trying to see what gives better option for my lawn to survive. Since my reseeding in thin areas it a bit hard to put soil on top...

Reseeding lawn and pre soak grass seed
I am planning on reseeding this fall I have seen an article from milorganite where you presoak grass seed for five days change water every day and clean the bucket so mildew doesn’t grow and spread the seed mixing with milo. What do you recommend is it too much effort to spread wet seed and risk inv...

Oak tree in Yard
We have an oak tree in the yard. I see the acorns germinating and forming small plants in the lawn. What are the options for me ? Mow frequently ? Spray chemical ?

Re: 2018: What did you do on your lawn today?
I've been a busy beaver this week. I picked up 1000 lbs of Potash and DAP. Applied a little Potash. Applied PGR & FAS. Cut a few times. Installed weed fabric in some beds and installed more double knockout roses. Spot sprayed triclopyr. Hello HLG can I know where did you buy potassium and DAP and w...

Re: Compare and save glyphosphate
A whole lotta everything, mostly precision spraying in beds, woods, hardscapes, etc. Some spraying of turf for conversion to new beds. Many hours. Man, a whole lot of glyphosphate. I am always concerned using too much weedkiller and glyphosphate in the lawn. I have no option with the mulch area tha...

Re: Compare and save glyphosphate
I use an old Roundup cap with the 2.5 oz line marked off (I think I actually use a higher concentration of what I have, but whatever, really). Using old Roundup jugs is fine! Although if you do mix it in a 1 gallon sprayer, it's good forever. I've been using my one gallon for more than a year now. ...

Compare and save glyphosphate
I recently bought some compare and save glyphosphate. I watched some videos on moxing quantities look like this is concentrate they suggested 2.5 ounces for a gallon water. How do I measure that quantity what do you use ? I do t want it to put it in my sprayer because I might not use the whole thing...

Re: July: Renovators to High-Gear, Others Slow Down
Planning on killing ky 31 I killed most of it last year and reseeded in last fall. I have few sq ft left will kill may be half of it and will reseed this fall. Spring reseeding in a small area was worse lost close to 50 % of new seedlings.

Sounds conspiracy to me by Monsanto aka Scott. They might be feeling pressure from milo sales.

Re: 200sq feet of Ky-31 in otherwise great lawn. Help?
I have a similar problem, desirable TTTF and KBG across 60%-70% of the lawn, but some problem grasses in clumps and spots I need to knock out. It sounds like the only decision we have to make is whether to glyphosate it or dig it out? I'm not sure the pros/cons of either option though. I'm also a b...

Re: 200sq feet of Ky-31 in otherwise great lawn. Help?
Roundup is the only option shoveling and pulling won't work. Probably even tilling might not(you might have patches still survive) I did some last year. Ky 31 will not die unless you put roundup or similar one. Timing is all important. Start beginning of summer you will have enough time and roots wi...

Re: 2017: What did you do on your lawn today?
Threw some seeds few days. Can I get away with out watering the new seed ? got some rain yesterday. You just need to keep the soil moist. My dog paws were still wet this afternoon, so I think you are ok for now. Great Thanks. Weather seems to get little bit warm. I havent opened faucets yet. What t...

Re: 2017: What did you do on your lawn today?
I need some suggestions. I have few areas where I would like to put some seed down for spring reseeding. Can I know when should I start ? I am close to Indianapolis. Can I start now ? I threw some down a week ago. No germination yet for me, and if it does this week may not make it through next week...
