Re: Try to ID Groove in Lawn
Do you have bird feeders on either end of the groove? I have a similar trail running in between two (2) areas of my lawn where I have bird feeders; it's the trail the squirrels have made going back and forth collecting the leftovers from under each feeder.

Re: Too early for Dimension in Northern VA?
Just want to confirm that Dimension won't harm the new grass/seedlings after the fall overseed. Forecast is calling for mid-70s on Thursday, so I'm planning to stop by JDL today and will apply this evening.

Too early for Dimension in Northern VA?
We've had a rather warm winter this season with only a trace of snow to speak of in Ashburn, VA. With the warmer temps this winter, and warmer temps forecasted over the weekend into next week (low-to-mid 60s), is it too early to apply Dimension (0-0-8) granular this weekend?

Re: What Is Your Favorite Hot Suaces
Me? Pappy's White Lightnin' - I use this for dutch oven ribs and to top pulled pork Sweet Baby Ray's (because I have a wife and 2 girls that think this is HOT HOT HOT) And - not really hot sauce - Famous Dave's Spicy Relish +1 on the Pappy's White Lightnin' for a great BBQ sauce, and the Pappy's Mo...

Re: Weed ID in Northern VA lawn...(thanks!)
Thanks for the info and recommendation! Went ahead and ordered the Q4 Plus after reading the reviews. Now I need to determine the best time to apply, as I'm only 3 weeks into my overseeding and the areas where the Lespedeza is most prevalent are the areas that I need to re-seed.

Weed ID in Northern VA lawn...(thanks!)
Good morning ATYers! This weed continues to pop-up in the yard, and while RU tends to take care of it for a little while, it keeps coming back. So my questions are (1) what is it and (2) what product do you recommend for it? I just received my bottle of Tenacity and I have Drive XLR8 on the way for ...

Re: Need help choosing the right mix/blend - new in forum
Thanks. My yard is in full sun though ... there are barely any trees around in my backyard so no shade at all Ah, didn't mean this grass seed wouldn't do well in full sun, just that I've been battling the extreme heat the last 2 weeks down here in Northern VA (temps in the mid-to-upper 90s). With t...

Re: Need help choosing the right mix/blend - new in forum
I purchased Defiance XRE Blue for my overseeding efforts this year and put it down on August 14th. This blend has grown in extremely well in the areas that see a bit more shade throughout the day, and I've already had to mow the lawn twice since seeding (watering 4 x 10 minutes per zone; applied Mil...

Re: Overseeding during extreme heat (Northern VA)?
Appreciate the responses. Guess I'll hold off this weekend and monitor the forecast for the next couple of weeks to find a better window of time to get the seed down. I'd like to overseed before September to allow enough time to get in a few applications of Urea prior to the pause and subsequent win...

Overseeding during extreme heat (Northern VA)?
Good afternoon ATYers! New to the site, and have already found this to be a wealth of information for the avid lawn care lover! I'm planning to overseed this weekend (TTTF + KBG) though the forecast is calling for extreme temps (95°+) into the early part of next week (slight chances of thunderstorms...
