Not too late - actually on-time. The Forsythia bloom is typically 3 weeks long.
Awesome. Thanks Andy :good:

To late to the prodiamine party?

Dropped my pro d today. Thought it would be good with rain coming and forsythia blooming. Just curious if I may have waited too long? Also the the rain may get a bit substantial. Worrying about wash out. I'm in central ct if that makes a difference.

Trees looking confused.

Not sure if it's my eyes deceiving me but here in central ct it looks like some of the trees are getting red buds on them. Its definitely been warmer overall with temps this week in the 40s. Anyone else in the area notice this?

Re: How Do You Rate The 2019 Season For Your Lawn?

My lawn gets better and better every year and I have this incredible community to thank. Less weed pressure this year. Great green up in spring (thanks fall N). No major fungal outbreaks. Biggest issue I had was with my renovation being in a pretty heavy shade area. Some spots didnt germinate well. ...

Re: Beer on lawn

Was able to get it done yesterday. Ended up spraying about 7 or 8 gallons! My grass will probably wake up today with a hangover.

Re: Beer on lawn

Don't pour it, but spraying it is OK - good food for the microherd. Yeah was going to transfer it to a tank sprayer and apply that way. Have a couple buddies coming by today to help me put a dent in it but I'd imagine there will still be left overs. Still have probably half if not more of a half ke...

Beer on lawn

Just had a Halloween/birthday party. Got a keg and it's looking like I will have some left overs. Has anyone had any experience using beer on the lawn. I paid a bit for the keg and dont want to waste it. Can I just pour it over the lawn or is there a specific method for using it on turf?

Window still open for prg?

Have a couple small reno areas I seeded mid August. It came in a little patchy. Had some heavy rains so maybe there was some wash out. I have a bag of PRG and I know it germinates pretty quick. First frost is typically mid October in my part of CT. Should I drop now and hope the roots get down enoug...

Re: Fall Nitrogen Regimens

To be honest, I don't get the fulvic/humic question - fulvic goes down as a foliar and humic as a soil application. I don;t get the mixing thing. I recommend a minimum of 0.25" water for Urea app, and 0,50" if possible. Thanks for the answer on the watering. Here's a link to the product I'm using f...

Re: Fall Nitrogen Regimens

Did the program last year with great success. I do however have a couple inquiries for this year. Will applying humic/fulvic acid just prior to first urea application help with the effectiveness of the fertilizer? Also what is the appropriate depth to be watering in the urea? I had no burning last y...

Re: Ahhh!! Here We Go With The Temperatures

Noticed within the past few days the fine fescue which usually flops over and goes to sleep is looking a bit more lively. Will probably be hitting it with milo this weekend in preparation for fall nitrogen.

Re: 2019: What Did You Do On Your Lawn Today?

Put seed down on a couple reno areas. The two spots I did last year didnt do well. One was because of grubs the other was I dont feel I used the best seed type for that particular section. I mixed in a bit more shade blend this time so I think it will take better than the sun and shade mix I used la...
