Re: Dead soil?
Decades ago, when I was in college,I changed my cars coolant and spilled the entire catch can of it on the lawn......4 years later the brown spot remained, and even weed free LOL.

Re: New Lawn Irrigation System
Guess my first question would be why even go through the expense and time for an underground sprinkler for such a small area? A simple $19 hose end oscillating sprinkler placed in the center of that 33x30 grass patch would cover the entire area without moving it once- and if you go on vacation,a sim...

Re: Are there any A/C guys here?
Our insulation is really good. I had a guy come out and we ended up being a few pounds low on freon. The rest of the system appeared to be in good shape. The tech didn't think that there was a leak. The only thing he could think of was a very slow leaks at the valves where freon is added. It's cool...

Re: Big Northeast snowstorm projected...
We got 32.5" of snow here in Frederick,Md.I headed back from the Md beaches 12 hours after the snow stopped falling, and gotta say Maryland did a fantastic job clearing the roads- the entire 160 miles of highways I traveled back home were crystal clean black pavement, most of it bone dry too.The Chesa...

Re: Big Northeast snowstorm projected...
Interesting to see Washington and Baltimore grind to a halt yesterday when they got an inch of snow. I just read they're looking at up to 30-inches this weekend. That ought to be quite an adventure. Sent from my iOS device using the Yard Help App Yes ,that 1" was a traffic nightmare around here,tot...

Re: Not a fan
Sorry to hear you aren't a fan. I wonder if there is an install problem vs the decking itself. After having just repainted my daughters' playset, I would think a Trex style deck would be fantastic. Not sure, original builder put it in.I recall reading something that mentioned the underlying "joists"...

Re: Filet Mignon on the Jumbo Joe
To be honest,I am not a big fan of Trex decking- it seems "spongy" to me compared to wood decks.

Re: Filet Mignon on the Jumbo Joe
I have fun with it......the hobby sucks you in,just like lawncare! I daily follow 3 great bbq forums- weber kettle club, bbq brethren, and the virtual weber bulletin board....between the 3,anyone can master both grilling and smoking rather easily.
