Re: Foliar FAS application and time to take effect
Thanks for the info, Morpheus. I had a feeling I'd get a great response from you. I never would've considered that it could reactivate with a little moisture. That's good to know. I hope you're still enjoying the new job!

Re: 2023: What Did You Do On Your Lawn Today (Cool Season)
Basically been doing nothing for the last month except watering the lawn and mowing every 1.5 to 2 weeks. We are in severe drought conditions and it doesn't look good for rain in the next month forecast. .18" of rain in June.. the majority of lawns around me are already crispy and things are lookin...

Foliar FAS application and time to take effect
I hope everyone is doing well. I just have a quick question about the foliar FAS application. How long after spraying does the grass reap the full benefits from it? The reason I ask is I'd like to keep the dogs off of it and then rinse it off before letting them roam. Is a few hours enough? Maybe ov...

Re: Walking on Newly Seeded Area
When I did a reno I purchased actual inground sprinkler heads and used them above ground. Your PVC was above ground? Did you cement the fittings? I didn't use pvc. I just used garden hoses since it was temporary. If you did use pvc you would have to cement the fittings or you could use Sharkbite fi...

Re: Walking on Newly Seeded Area
When I did a reno I purchased actual inground sprinkler heads and used them above ground. The idea behind this route is that you can change the nozzles out in order to customize the spray pattern to your lawn. I have about 10k worth of lawn but I was able to position all of them along the perimeter....

That definitely makes sense. No reason to risk damaging the young grass. Thanks!

Re: FAS application
If you’re doing a foliar application, it should be fine. The spray is absorbed by the grass through the leaves, not up from the roots. I have a quick question about FAS if you don't mind. I over seeded about 6 weeks ago. Will FAS treatments hurt young grass or am I okay to apply it? I have high ph ...

Re: Fall Nitrogen Regimens
A place called Kelly Seed and Hardware in Peoria, IL. It's like an old time garden center. It has been there since 1905. It's more of a garden and seed store more than a hardware store. I got 2 bags of urea and came to $52 and some change.

Re: Pyhtium blight new grass.
I believe too much water caused mine as well. We also had a stretch of hot and humid which I'm sure added to it. I had to do a second seeding in late September. This was on a reno about 4 years ago and haven't had it return since. Hopefully it'll be the same for you. If anyone ever needs any Subdue ...

Re: Tough year for the lawn - Advice?
I have a stretch of area in our lawn that seems to die every year unless I irrigate. Although, the grass was young so I think Green is correct (like usual). The summer I irrigated the grass did not die. If I were you I would continue watering that area for atleast a few years before trying it withou...

Re: Pyhtium blight new grass.
I had the same issue with a reseed a few years back. It wiped out huge areas of my lawn. I purchased Subdue for it. I still have an almost full bottle. If you need any let me know and I'll send you some.

Re: Fall Fertilizing application help
With no concern of runoff you shouldn't have anything to worry about. Even if there was runoff it can be risky to add more fertilizer and especially on newer grass.

Yeah, they don't have a lot of info on their website but, as you mentioned, they are extremely helpful by phone. They definitely know what to recommend for different areas of the country. If you don't mind can you post the cultivators they're currently using if you end up ordering from them? I need ...

Re: Questions about buying seed
This was the end of September 2018. My reno was actually the fall of 2017 so it was a year old here. I somehow lost a year. Time sure does fly. I'm happy with how The Hogan Blend turned out. If I were to ever use TTTF again I wouldn't hesitate using it. https://i.postimg.cc/xkdvtC1b/20180923-174831-...
