Re: Lime green patches

Morph, I use RO/DI water in my reef tank. You think that would be a good supercharger? I’m interested in this new twist..... pennies because I’m usually only spot spraying anymore.

And the process begins. Step one is the edging then on to the grading!

Re: Fresh dirt on preM layer - effect?

Thanks Morph. I need to see what the final plan will be but I think I have a few options, albeit none the perfect situation. I start in on the project this weekend so I’m going to try and save sod where I can and be mindful of where the prodiamine was laid

Re: Fresh dirt on preM layer - effect?

You think a hard, disruptive rake before the new dirt is in order?

Fresh dirt on preM layer - effect?

So I laid prodiamine down this spring and last year I had a basketball court put in for the boys. Around it, I’ll be doing landscaping this year which will include bringing in dirt to level out the grade. Since the original grass had prodiamine in it, how much of a problem will it be if I put new di...

Re: Training Branches - time?

I prune them pretty heavy each year and they like it. Through that I get a lot of the shape I want, just been trying to open this one tree up more but man is it resistant. Obviously doing the open vase style.

Going to spray today so I’ll test the resistance.

Re: Training Branches - time?

They are about 4 years old. Still relatively young and the branch thickness is about 1.5” diameter

Pulling POA

Does anyone pull out you annua patches this time of year? Mine are very surface oriented and I can pull it out like a carpet, it comes right off my where it runs into the grass, the grass is well rooted. I feel like it’s a good thing and I should get a rake to pull it up then spray tenacity. Just me...

Training Branches - time?

I have some peach tree limbs tied to stakes to help pull them down and widen the center out a bit.

Any sort of ballpark timeline where you’d think they be good to untie them? Better to do it when they are growing? They still have some pretty good resistance.

Re: Fertilizer for the year!

I text Carl to make sure he’s got stock then you pay for it through their new, mildly shady, website.

I “assume” that they earmark paid for pallets. Show up (I also let Carl know I’m coming), call the number, give your receipt number and load up!

Re: Fertilizer for the year!

I mean $3.50 a bag is quite the savings if you use a lot through the year so it all depends on what the cost of the truck is.

Sod Recommendation - MA

Hi All, I put in a basketball court for the and now that the ground is becoming workable, I’ve got a lot to do. I’m looking to do sod around it because it’s more “instant” and I can’t tell the kids to not use it. Looking to see if anyone has a recommendation on where to get it that will deliver to M...

Re: Fertilizer for the year!

I bought winter of 2019 so I didn’t get any for the 2020 season but I know there were “issues”. This year, I’ve been asking Carl since Nov about when he’d have stock, just now they have it back. Minimum is a pallet and you gotta pay for it online before you go. Above a pallet you can do less (I did ...

Re: Fertilizer for the year!

Haha I said the same. Maxed out what the trailer and truck “says” it can handle in terms of weight so I’ll be set for the year considering I do urea in the fall. Lawn is in its 4th year so I’m really hoping for some good fill in and resistance to disease/drought

Re: 10-10-10 Organic Fert

Thank you. Because we “plan” to eat it I was wanting organic. The soil is very sandy and doesn’t hold much but I’m working on it (Morph we talked a lot about it). I plan to get a soil test in the mail next week. It does seem like I’ll just need to load up the organics. Baystate, corn and alfalfa pel...

Fertilizer for the year!

Just made the trek to Quincy, 70 bags of baystate locked and loaded! Definitely tired from all the work but it’s good to be thinking lawn again! https://i.postimg.cc/wRN7M6c0/7-DE7183-E-067-A-4930-897-C-22-E34-FCE3-E78.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/ygtD7J9D/87174-B98-DD4-F-4567-A289-AF8599-F0-AC36.jpg ht...
