Re: Essential oils to control insects?
You can try mosquito barrier which is organic. Or neem oil. Obviously dont spray while bumble bees are active or they may get harmed. I'm huge with spraying stuff that wont harm me or my dog.

Cherry and Dogwood trees
Hello everyone, Well I purchased 3 trees, 2 Kwanzan cherry and 1 flowering Dogwood. I plan to plant them respectively in the same area of my backyard. I'm in RI zone 7a I believe. I understand these trees need good drainage and are prone to disease. My plan is to plant them in a compost/loom mix and...

Re: Rhode Island/Mass fertilizer seed etc suppliers?
Just was curious if anyone had a go to spot for a bulk of their supplies. Urea, dimension etc. I can get speciality stuff online. Was also going to do a small overseed in the front. But might just hold off till next fall and continue getting everything healthy.

Re: round up for northern lawns

Re: Killing weeds, Overseeding, Rhode Island
Here are some pics so you can get a better understanding. The grass is green but it's spotty. The food I put down did help out the color and thatching helped for sure. https://s29.postimg.cc/hus49yldf/20170429_070948.jpg https://s8.postimg.cc/essez44ld/20170429_071151.jpg https://s23.postimg.cc/wnin...

Re: round up for northern lawns
I myself would like to know about this too, I was planning on using this and then seeding in a week after I use it. It says you can seed up to 4 days after.

Re: Killing weeds, Overseeding, Rhode Island
Thank you cyclone! Yes in my research I did learn the applying a pre emergent herbicide there would be no way I could plant, as it forms a barrier? I think what you were saying is what I'm going to do. I was considering round up , certain chemicals allow you to plant as soon as 3 days after. But I f...

Overseeding can't decide what to do
Hi all new to forum, My lawn needs a little bit of love. I live in RI. I've already thatched and added a feed fert 28-0-3. Weeds are blooming need to decide if I'm better off killing these weeds off now with a 24d and then waiting a month to overseed. Or should I just overseed and wait to add the po...

Killing weeds, Overseeding, Rhode Island
Hi all, New to this forum, and so far I really enjoy all the info I have learned/gathered already. I've done quite allot of research on my situation. I'll make this short as possible. I live in Rhode island, couple weeks ago I thatched the yard, blew out the entire yard with a backpack blower and ba...
