Fall Prodiamine after KBG germination
My reno is coming in nicely. Some areas emerging from "pout" (30 days now). I would like to finally start doing a fall pre-m as I have never done that before. Now that the KBG has germinated, is Prodiamine okay to put down?

Re: Fall Nitrogen Regimens
Got my first application down yesterday 1lb/1000k. Temps dropping into the 50's with a slow, steady rain over the next two days. Could total 1.5 inches. What a start to repairing the summer drought and damage

Re: Fungus or Heat Stress
Good Luck. I feel your pain. This was a bad summer for us too. We haven't had rain for months and have had some triple digit weeks. The Fescue lawns look good but not out KBG lawns.

Stop watering during the pout?
I have sprouted and continue to pout. My sprout started on about August 17th (Bewitched). Still pouting today (about 3 weeks worth). I have followed the comments and have not added any fertilizer. Do I want to stop the watering on that section? We are officially in an extreme drought. Haven't had an...

Re: Got Urea?
You can use ammonium sulfate (21-0-0) if the price is right--45% of the price of the urea. I've seen a lot of numbers thrown around, but if there's a perfect use or complete loss of urea at 1 pound N per thousand, no lime is required. If the average amount of nitrogen is lost, you'll need about 3 p...

Re: Got Urea?
Is ammonium sulfate a good choice as well? We have a fertilizer plant here that sells to the public. They also sell Urea. Does your lawn pH steer you in one direction or the other?

Re: Best time to kill and reseed?
i did add a light application of some top soil as i didn't get all the dead blades down to the dirt. After killing and scalping, I then raked a bit, and spread some top soil to even out the area and give the seed a even bed. Not much, perhaps a 1/4".

Re: Rising Temps Forecast new seedlings
Thanks for the advice, I'll keep the sprinklers going. Looks like we'll get more seasonal this Friday. Back into the mid 80's.

Rising Temps Forecast new seedlings
Any advice on my new emerging KBG seedlings and upcoming high 90's temps forecast? They are starting to sprout now and we are set to receive about four days of 95-97 temps?

Re: How is everyone making out with disease this year?
High humidity and hot temps with little rain destroyed most of the back yard. Currently under reno. Monthly Propiconazole treatments beginning in May did absolutely nothing. Clearys 3336 and Disease-Ex did bring back much of the front yard though. The back yard went from a few spots to widespread de...

Re: Opinions on SoilMoist Seed Coat
The section that germinated first was an area under a tree that gets some morning sun and evening sun. That was exclusively Bewitched. My mix with Bewitched is also starting to come in at day 10. Cannot conclude which cultivar it is though. It's under a fiber seed blanket.

I looked at your photos, looks similar to what i see now. I also have Award and Mazama in the mix, but added a little more from the Bewitched bag to my spreader before I spread it.

Re: Opinions on SoilMoist Seed Coat
Well, first time user here after reading this thread. I have Bewitched germination in 7 days. I have irrigation set to water 10 minutes at 10,12, 2, &4pm on the reno area. I don't think I have had an elite KBG seed germinate that fast in the past. Now, the germination is not widespread, but it has s...

Question on rolling in grass seed
Not sure if I should have put this in my renovations page or not. Anyone have trouble with a lot of seed sticking to the steel drum roller? (Assuming those who have rolled their seed)? I was wondering if I could put down my seed blanket, then roll over top of the blanket to press the seed into the s...

Does this stuff stick to the seeds when you mix it prior to rotary spreading? I just ordered some for my KBG reno.

Re: Erosion Mat
For my yard renovation, I am having a guy come out and do hydro seed (without the seed). It has a tacifier in it to help with the erosion. Price wise it wasn't too bad - $200/truck and I will need 2 trucks (~9000 sq ft total). Just another idea for you since you would only need one truck probably. ...

how do you put down that much peat moss? I am doing 4000 sq ft and I plan on doing a wood fiber blanket. Any thoughts?

I am not sure if I am posting in the correct place, but here it is. 5 year old sod has been horrible since install. Summer Patch grows bigger every year. Preventative measures did absolutely nothing this year with a record hot June and July. Since I planted Bewitched in a small affected area 4 years...
