Re: Help with identifying what this is

Thanks for all the replies. Not good news but at least we now know what we are dealing with. The round-up apps have started.

Thanks again, everyone!

Re: Ken2736 soil test

Ken2736,

Fellow Montanan here with very similar soil, calcareous with 8+ph. Milorganite works wonders for greening of my lawn.

Re: 2020: What Did You Do On Your Lawn Today?

Mowed yesterday at 3 inches. Wanted to keep it 2.5 but the growth has been amazing this spring. I'll get it back to 2.5 in a couple of days. We had a mild winter with minimal snow load. This is the healthiest my lawn has been in four years at this point in the season. It's thick, green and no bare s...

Re: Lonnie's 2020 Soil Test

My local AG can order the 40 lb for me. Not concerned with the cost, just having another big bag of product lying around is what i'm trying to avoid. If you find the 11, great, if not, i'll get the 40 going by Friday.

Re: Lonnie's 2020 Soil Test

Hey Andy,

I can get the 40 lb. bag of Humic DG locally and online. But I have yet to find the 11 lb. bag. Can you send me in the right direction?

Thanks, Lonnie

Re: Lonnie's 2020 Soil Test

Andy, I read some humate threads and your experiment thread. I’ll get “The Andersons” Humic DG. Just let me know the application rate you want me to use and how often to apply.

Glad to be a part of the experiment.

As for my 2020 plan; SOP and Boron, I presume?

Re: Lonnie's 2020 Soil Test

Good Morning...yes, we wake when the grizzly start down the mountain. It was a mild winter in the valley, so no complaints.

I’m always up for a challenge and if helps your experiment, I’m surely in. Give me the particulars and I’ll get started.

Lonnie's 2020 Soil Test

https://i.postimg.cc/Whtgzptt/2020-Soil-Test.png Andy, Once again, thank you for everything the ST6 folks do, couldn't do it without you. 2020 is my third year of remediation. Had good results from years 1-2 and am hoping for more of the same. I stuck to the plan again last year, SOP and Boron. Mil...

I mix them separately but store them together, all in one bucket. I add molasses to the sprayer reservoir upon application.

Re: Analyzed my historical data - fine-tuning the "pause" start date

Green, I knew you were talking about growth stoppage, just misquoted myself. I’m still getting used to my weather. Been here three years and it’s a challenge to figure it’s tendencies. I ask a lot of questions to the old timers and the native Montanans. Most have said any snowfall after November 15t...
