Re: I can throw down grass seed next month to germinate in spring?
I know that around here, some folks like to spread seed on top of a late winter snow.
Something about melting snow carrying the seed into good contact with the soil

I have a similar issue, and in my case, its very clay soil and very low organic matter content.

my guess is that if you can't get this diagnosed and fixed, there's probably an old timer in your area that can get it fixed for $45 in half an hour.

Im far from an irrigation expert, but your observations are generally why you want "head-to-head" coverage.
Preferably from several different heads: more than just 2.

Re: Grains from TSC
some of the alfalfa for horses has less 'filler' (vitamins, etc.) and more actual alfalfa. However, some of the pellets do not feed well through all spreaders. You may want to start with just one bag... Any tips on picking an alfalfa pellet that might flow through a spreader? Any particular ones to...

Re: Clever way to increase OM
In my vision... it’s easier to spread some seeds than to haul around/make compost. Might be better off with cornmeal and Alfalfa pellets. Is there any reasoning/science behind those visions? I know of nothing involving corn meal and alfafa that ups the soil OM like compost or green manure. Please d...

Interested to see how much Serenade you all are applying per 1K Sq ft.
The labels I'm finding seem to really be geared towards shrubs/vegetables.

Re: Need help identifying weed / weeds please!
My experience is mature CG needs two shots of quinclorac or tenacity to get it all. I have never had luck with a single application kill Even going heavy on the Spray directly on the plants Plaintains that are mature same kinda thing. Plain, ugly crabgrass. Its so tough to kill right now in my area...

What kind of application rates are you guys using for soybean meal?
Just whatever is economical?
The labels generally seems tailored for animal feed. Weird

Re: Quinclorac If You Blew It On the Pre-M
I blew it and didnt apply a pre-emergent on my front yard. I have a beautiful stand of crabgrass that I'd like to clear out for overseeding in the fall. My concern with applying Quinclorac at this point is the heat, in Kansas. Highs are at least mid 80's now, and usually in the 90's. The labels gene...

Zero turn's drive plenty slow. My ZTR/sweeper combo runs perfectly.

Last fall, I told my wife to grab the 2-4D, and she shouted across the yard "Glyphosphate 4 plus?"
I said yes, since I really just heard the "4"
So we had a nice chuckle about how that almost turned out.
