Re: Had a feeling this area was going to be problematic!
Yes sir it was a very sad day indeed I miss that tree every day . I never had to have an air conditioner that tree blotted out the sun with its 110 foot wingspan and unbelievably massive amount of leaves the first 2 pics where taken on 11-4-16 the third is why it had to come down it was hollow. When...

Re: Had a feeling this area was going to be problematic!
KBGkicksazz chips are probably down 2 feet directly below where the stump was tapering up to nothing. When the tree was removed I had no clue how soil works . I barely have a clue now but I'm learning. At germination there were thousands of small very delicate mushrooms. The damage is already done I...

Re: Had a feeling this area was going to be problematic!
Ya I knew I was going to have some settling and that the grass was going to struggle there I just didn't know it would be struggling this much already. This yard is going to change in the future probably going to widen the driveway through that area but that's not going to happen for a couple years ...

Had a feeling this area was going to be problematic!

Re: Greenrebellion's 2018 Backyard Reno
I am extremely new to this and I'm just trying to feel my way along and learn what signs to look for. With the number of days after seed down question I was just searching for a time frame reference this helps me learn. I do realize that every situation is different but I really don't have much conf...

Re: A quick what is it.
Okay after many hours of research and comparing images I am now a ryegrass expert (self-appointed of course). I now believe what I have is annual rye. Thanks for your help I am learning a lot. I pulled what I had will pull what I find in the future and not let it go to seed. Here are a couple more p...

Re: Greenrebellion's 2018 Backyard Reno
Hey Greenrebellion how many days after seed down did you start your urea apps and at what rate did you apply. I'm just curious because I'm 26 days after seed down on my own reno have lots of tillering a height of 1 to 1 1/2 in and I was kind of under the assumption that I shouldn't start with urea o...

A quick what is it.
25 days in I am just coming out of S&P and a very small percentage of what I hope is KBG maybe the 8% blueberry in the mix is significantly taller than the rest of the seedlings. The height and the purple at the base of the stalks has got me a little worried I am hoping it is not poa trivialis can s...

Re: WTH is with the "Nature's Signs" This Year?
Andy10917 you have made me look at my 5 prolific nut producing black Walnut trees. Not a nut on them wow. They produce every year. Now I don't know what to think! Why have you done this to me? I guess I've been paying to much attention to the reno . I've got lots of germination going on I look at th...

KBG seed germination to deep watering.
I know at some point I have to cut back on frequency of waterings and increase amount of water applied. At what stage of seedling development do I start doing this and how drastically do I make the change? I am the proud caretaker of a bunch of tiny seedlings. I dropped seed on 8/23 saw first sign o...

Re: Trent's 2018 soil test
The links to my pics take me to my device gallery and I believe the links take others to basically an empty postimages page. I hope they don't take others to my devices gallery. I was trying to find a way to edit posts and take image links down or replace them with working links. I do believe I have...
