Excellent mulching mower recommendations.
Hello all, I am going to come to a point where I need to replace my 14 year old mower in the next few years and want to start thinking about a good replacement so that I can be on the lookout for a good deal if one pops up. I currently have a Cub Cadet LT1046. It has been a decent mower and I have n...

Re: Is fall happening or not??
No end in sight to the heat for me. Not a drop of rain either, my water bill is going to be HIGH this month.

Re: Clovers everywhere
CCO works to knock them down but may take more than one application at 2-3 week intervals. Clover Is usually a sign of poor soil health I think.

Re: Procare 4-3-0 at Lowes
I requested an account and they are down the road from me. I cant see the price without an account though. It does state this though: Item not available in your selected branch and cannot be added to cart. Please call the branch at 770-442-8881 for substitute items. Thanks for the source which may h...

Procare 4-3-0 at Lowes
There has been no Milorganite in my local box stores all year. Today I went in and saw Lowes had Milorganite in the smaller 32 bags at $14.97. Right next to it was a new fert I haven't seen that was comparing itself to Milorganite. 36lb bag at $12.47 https://www.lowes.com/pd/PROCARE-36-lb-2500-sq-ft...

Re: Questions about buying seed
I got some TTF and some deep shade mix for some areas that just cant do TTF. I did not ask the specific varieties in the shade mix, it is a mix of hard fescue, red fescue, chewings, and sheep fescue. For the TTF I did request some specific varieties that tested well in my area, particularly Titanium...

Re: Questions about buying seed
Looks great! I called Hogans and they were most helpful in how to approach my yard and what seed to use. They were also about 25% cheaper than the Super Seed Store to boot.

Re: Questions about buying seed
Thank you for the replies. I am not set on matching what I have as it was a mix of stuff from big box store. The heat kind of decimated it this year. I looked at Hoagn's but they don't list much online. I guess I'll give them a call and see what they recommend for my area.

Questions about buying seed
Hi, I did a renovation last year. I used a few mixes, but I am going to overseed soon and plant a new section of yard. I have gone through the NETP data and found a few cultivars that should work well for me. I want to buy the highest quality seed I can preferable gold tag so I expect to pay a premi...

Re: unexpected uneveness in my Reno
I'm lost. You're showing both concentrate and hose-end sprayer versions, and the damage looks exactly like an overapplication of spot treatments would look. Spectracide is refunding my money but admits no issue with the product nor offers to do anything to fix the yard. Please tell us that you didn...

Re: unexpected uneveness in my Reno
What was the exact name of the Spectracide product? This. I would avoid at all cost. Spectracide is refunding my money but admits no issue with the product nor offers to do anything to fix the yard. https://i.postimg.cc/K3BytPYJ/IMG-8453.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/c6nZqScw/IMG-8454.jpg Some samples o...

Re: unexpected uneveness in my Reno
this began to even out alot after fertilizing. Unfortunately i bought a spectracide weed killer on sale at HD about a month ago and did some spot treatments, and it annihilated my lawn everywhere I sprayed. I cant win. I followed the label exactly. Guess I need to wait until Fall to get all my holes...

Re: unexpected uneveness in my Reno
doubt it would be fertilizer as i am sure to broadcast that pretty evenly in a crosshatch pattern. But animals could be. several have a dog turd from one of my dogs and deer rabbit and fox are common on my property.

unexpected uneveness in my Reno
So last year I started a full reno. Started prepping in summer in the Atlanta area, killing everything, nutrients, etc. All went as planned. The coverage was not as good as I hoped but I know these things have to fill out over a year or two. I did a bastardized mix of seeds to account for varying co...

Re: Tenacity as a pre em for wild violet
Wild violet is a perennial. A pre-M is only going to keep new seeds from germinating, so you're still going to need to treat the existing population with triclopyr. Why are you even considering using Tenacity as a pre-M? Are you planning to seed this area at the same time? If not, hit it with a rea...
