Fungus Control
Hello everyone, Fungus control is something I'd like to learn more about this season and have a better understanding what to look for while out in the lawn. Last spring and summer my lawn developed fungal issues and it was difficult to control. I alternated between Disease-X and BioAdvanced Fungus C...

Re: Sean's 2020 Soil Test
Thanks for your input Andy! Yes, I'd like to continue with the micro's this season. Zone 1 has a 750 sq/ft section like Zone 3. Zone 3 This is a 2500 sq/ft section on the north side of my house that is lined on both sides with pine trees and gets limited filtered sun. That area slopes down and away ...

Re: Sean's 2020 Soil Test
Following last years plan the grass definitely looked much better. Unfortunately I was hit hard with fungus during the summer. This season I would like to try the natural preventative fungus application method using a backpack sprayer (If you can post a link describing that I'd appreciate it!). In t...

Re: Sean's 2019 Soil Test
I followed the recommended soil plan for this year. Regarding next years plan, I was wondering if it's best to take a soil sample now in the fall or wait until spring? The grass definitely looked much better this season. Unfortunately I was hit hard with fungus during the summer, and battling bent g...

Re: Bentgrass Remediation
Thanks TimmyG. Looks like I'll need to use a 4th application on some spots that are fighting hard to stay alive. Will have to spot seed those areas in the spring after I dethatch.

Bentgrass Remediation
I'm looking for help to fight off bentgrass. For the past two falls I've used Tenacity, 3 apps at the appropriate rate, then over seeded. This year the lawn looked incredible without signs of bentgrass. Now comes fall, and bentgrass is taking over again. I understand this battle isn't won overnight,...

Re: Lime application / fertilization
Andy,
Thank you for explaining how the lime application can react with Urea. I enjoy learning why you recommend to space out certain products.

Re: Lime application / fertilization
Yes, I have irrigation and the lime app will be watered in. I was just wondering about timing for the lime to react with the soil before my next N and iron app.

Lime application / fertilization
Trying out the aggressive fall fertilization with urea this season. I'm due for a lime application of 9lb/1000K. and know you need to space out lime apps from fertilization, but how long should I wait....7 days...10...14???
Thanks
Thanks

Please post your results using this product compared with the original Tenacity. I just ordered the generic version but haven't used it yet.

If Ironite uses Iron in forms that aren't readily available, can you please recommend a product to look for that does have readily available iron.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Fungus and Nitrogen Apps
This is the first year I'm battling a grass fungus, brown lesions on the blade then the blade turns yellow. It's not brown patch, instead it is lightly spread out over the lawn. My question is, do I need to alter my nitrogen applications. I'm currently using Milo at half bag rate every two weeks. PS...

Re: Sean's 2019 Soil Test
The SOP that I could find locally is Lebanon Country Club MD 0-0-24 with 3% Fe (iron), 2% Mg (Magnesium), 1% Mn (manganese), SOP SGN 80.
Does this product need to be watered in right after application to avoid burning of grass?
