Re: 2021: What Did You Do On Your Lawn Today?
Sprayed a mix of BLSC and castor oil all over the back corner of my yard and along the back ditch to keep moles out. This is the first year I'm trying Morph's model. I was a little less than careful the first time I sprayed and I see exactly why the moles will hate this stuff. You need soap to get i...

Re: Mowing low to get rid of quackgrass - my experience
Hello there, I apologize for unearthing this old thread (and my being relatively new here). I've been desparately looking for a solution to my quackgrass. First a little background. I had new sod put in last year in my front and back yards. Before it was a big mess of dirt and weeds I have one othe...

Re: Is fall happening or not??
Same issue here. St. Louis had 90s for highs several days into October, and tonight, at least out in the rural area where I live, the low is 31. Yikes.

Re: Is fall happening or not??
I'm in the same boat. Dropped seed on Sept 1-2 in southwestern IL. The St. Louis area has had something like 45 90 degree days this year...with 10 of them this September. We have had only two significant rainfall events, one a week after seed down, and one on Sunday. It will be high 80s and a day of...

Re: 2019: What Did You Do On Your Lawn Today?
Overseeded abot 6,500 sq ft of my front and side yards on Sept. 1-2 with TTTF. Unluckily for me, an unexpected, extended heat wave moved in about 5 or 6 days after seed down. Luckily for me, I had a bunch of Melmnor four hose timers and was able to irrigate sallowly and frequently, 4x per day. The g...

Re: Mowing low to get rid of quackgrass - my experience
I've followed HLG and others on their quackgrass "adventures" for the last few years as a lurker. In 2016, I bought a new house and found the latter parts of my 3/4 acre yard to be littered with quackgrass. Rather than nuke it all and start over, I've been patiently painting with glyphosate in the s...

Re: Tenacity TTTF seeding?
Can you apply Tenacity at the 4 oz per acre rate to TTTF which you seeded 28 days earlier? You can at 28 days AFTER GERMINATION, not after seeding. Thanks for that. Critical difference. Noted. I'll get a 4 oz per acre app down at seeding, and then wait until 28 days after germination, and deal with...

Re: Tenacity TTTF seeding?
I'm planning the same thing this fall. Quick follow-up question. I'm pretty sure the KBG guys here will reapply Tenacity at the 28 day mark as its preemergent effects wear off, and then use Prodiamine or Dithiopyr for the longer pre-emergent effect 60 days or so after seeding. Can you apply Tenacity...
