Re: Seeding after pre-emergent and glyphosate
I would say at least 500 sq ft, I rented a dethatcher today and did the best I could with it. Lesson learned on this one for sure! Worst case scenario I will live with the look until early Sept. and overseed or do a reno which was my plan anyways. Wish me luck, I’ll post the results in due time...

Re: Seeding after pre-emergent and glyphosate
Too big of an area to do that, what if I rough up the soil with a dethatcher?

Re: Spot seeding after Pre M
Lol just put a post for the same issues. Wouldn’t a layer of topsoil be suffice to allow seeds to germinate? Sorry don’t mean to hijack your thread

Seeding after pre-emergent and glyphosate
Hey guys just a quick question, I applied Prodiamine early April and decided roundup some patches of possible Triv yesterday. Would it be safe to lay a bed of topsoil over these areas and reseed at the moment or do I have to wait? I’m started to question my original plan of laying a bed of topsoil, ...

Re: EriCS Soil test #2 2020
It’s spring, from the posts that I have read I need to glyphosate the Triv before it goes dormant in the summer if I were to pursue a renovation this season.

Re: EriCS Soil test #2 2020
So I may be getting a little impatient here but I’m tired of looking at all of the different shades of green on my lawn due to different cultivars and possible a pretty decent infestation of Triv. I just applied a blanket spray of Tenacity to help identify what is possibly lighter colored fescue as ...

Re: EriCS Soil test #2 2020
Thank you Andy as always, in your opinion is it possible the depth of the soil samples is where the discrepancies are in relation to the results of the OM and TEC levels?

Re: EriCS Soil test #2 2020
Figured I would add as more information that I have a moment. The past season I applied 10 10 10 fertilizer on a monthly basis as well as two applications of fast acting gypsum. https://aroundtheyard.com/forums2/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=25094 The first application in the spring from what I remember was ...

EriCS Soil test #2 2020
Total lawn is 30,000+ sq/ft. Mixed cool season grass with partial shade on half of the property. Andy’s regime for soil amendment seems to have made some decent progress. :good: This year’s test I went down approximately 3-4” where as 2019 I sampled at 6”. https://i.postimg.cc/XXG6yPvS/Eric-Schmidt-...

Re: EriCS soil test
Just curious if I should continue my soil remediation as last year or perform another soil test? I’m seeing positive results in this years green up, turf seems darker in shade and more dense than the last few years. Any help would be appreciated!

Re: EriCS soil test
Heya guys, I was wondering if I should do anything in addition to my soil remediation plan now that its mid fall? I was applying 10-10-10 all purpose fertilizer every 3-4 weeks as recommended by Andy as well as a second application of fast acting gypsum. Any help is appreciated thanks!

Re: EriCS soil test
Thanks for the insight, this obviously is a long term process. I just was curious if yearly applications of something purchased would speed up the process somewhat and whether it was worth the investment. My time and budget will determine all of this regardless. Can you inform me on the fertilizatio...

Re: EriCS soil test
Disregard the previous post, I was able to get to the big box stores today. I purchased 10 10 10 balanced fertilizer as to Andy’s recommendations. From other posts it looks like my application rate is 10 lbs/1k square feet. As far as the mediocre OM% is it worth in applying milorganite as well throu...

Re: EriCS soil test
Reading further garden fertilizer nitrogen is in the form of quick release. Any concerns in applying ample nitrogen? I was scheduled for an application yesterday by my lawn care company but cancelled considering I was going to be doing my own application of some sort anyways. I currently have a bag ...
