Lawn Browning
My lawn was starting to look great and all of a sudden I started seeing some browning. I check out the Bbdl posts and it seems like this happens mostly I think the fall. Could this be vaguer my mower is not working properly? My blades were recently sharpened and I do not take off more than 1/3 when ...

New mower
Looking for some recommendations for a new mower. Currently I own a 20+yr old snapper that’s on its way out. There are so many options out there. I was looking at toro personal pace 22” (model 20333). I would like to keep the price under 500$. I’m not sure what features to look for that are important.

Slug problems
I’ve recently noticed holes in my hosta leaves and realized that there were little slugs feasting on them. Any suggestions for getting rid of them? I killed whatever I was able to see with some table salt and realized (after the fact) that the salt probably will eventually kill the hostas as well. T...

Re: Pre emergent . Scott’s+ Proamidine ?
Height before is 4 inches , height after is 3 inches. I was cutting too high before. I adjusted the height of the mower. Seems better now.

Re: Pre emergent . Scott’s+ Proamidine ?
I keep it at the second highest setting. I will take measurement to be exact and follow up tomorrow. I’ll also take a better pic of the front facing the street.

Re: Pre emergent . Scott’s+ Proamidine ?
On the first picture (front yard) it is pretty evenly spread and the color isn’t too much different.I’ll add another pic below if that helps. In the second picture (back) it is growing in patches and the color is def lighter. I’ll also add another pic below. Honestly I’m very much a beginner and I l...

Re: Pre emergent . Scott’s+ Proamidine ?
Just so I have time to buy the supplies, I’m posting pictures of the grassy weeds infiltrating my front yard and the second one is in the back. Please help ID and suggest product to use. Re: Pre emergent . Scott’s+ Proamidine ?
I purchased "compare & save 2,4-D broadleaf weed control". Seems like it should do the job most of the weeds. I fertilized about 3 days ago so ill wait a little while for the fertilizer to do its magic before I apply anything (as suggested in the triangle approach).

Re: Pre emergent . Scott’s+ Proamidine ?
Applied proamidine 6 weeks later and my grass is now covered in poa anua, dandelions, clover. So discouraging. I can’t seem to get it right. Thinking about doing a blanket app of tenacity.

Lime and Potash application
It was recommended to me through a soil test to add 4lbs/k of potash and 50lbs/k lime to my soil. I was going to apply the lime this spring and split applications of potash (2lbs/k spring and fall). I was just wondering what the timing should be for the applications. Lime first? Potash first? And ho...
