Re: nanometer's 2021 Soil Test
Thank you Andy! I will start the program this week. Last year I also applied Urea at 2 lbs / K, sometimes Milorganite. This year I can continue to apply this level of Nitrogen. A little questions: Lime/Epsom is every 90/60 days for front/back, is this just in growing season, or the whole year includ...

Hi Andy, I made a mistake, actually 1 hour is about 0.35 inches, this time I have extended to 100 minutes. Is there any other thing I need to do for fixing?

Re: nanometer's 2020 Soil Test
Sorry Andy, I didn't realized there are differences between types/brands. I was not trying to skip some steps, just because I cannot find all the things I need in local HD/Lowe's, and I don't know other stores I can buy locally, I need to order online and wait many days for shipping so I searched al...

Re: nanometer's 2020 Soil Test
Andy, I saw some people said organic may be better so I bought 2 bags of Milorganite previously. Actually both organic or synthetic are good to me. About my internet id, I used this id since I was an elementary school student.. it's about 15 years ago.. to be honest, I don't remember why I chose thi...

Thank you Andy! Other then cations, do I need to apply fertilizer? Because now I have too many spots in front yard, some of them are full of weeds, some are bare, I may need to fix them little sooner otherwise my neighbors may complain me. Should I reseed? Re: seek suggestion for my lawn soil
Thank you very much! I just shipped the soil samples to Logan Labs these afternoon. Once I have the result, I will post.
During waiting for the result, is there anything I can do? For example, dethatching, killing weeds? Or just wait for the result first?

Re: seek suggestion for my lawn soil
I moved in new home last July, but maybe 1 or 2 months before I moved in, the previous owner stopped to maintain. OK, I get it. But I'm trying to get some idea about what the lawn was like when it WAS being maintained - this will answer many questions about whether the soil is the issue or it's pri...

Re: seek suggestion for my lawn soil
I moved in new home last July, but maybe 1 or 2 months before I moved in, the previous owner stopped to maintain. After I moved in, I did watering manually every 2-4 days (not very sure), each time about 10-15 minutes. Moving: before Oct I didn't do any mowing.. Fertilization: a guy did some fertili...

seek suggestion for my lawn soil
I'm a new homeowner in Seattle area. Due to lack of maintain last year, my lawn looks bad now. I found some problems with the lawn soil: 1. The top soil in my yard has only 2.5 - 3.5 inches depth. Below the top soil, I saw there are a lot of rocks. Is it OK for the grasses (Perennial Ryegrass)? 2. I...
