Re: Chapin's new 20V Backpack Sprayer

I picked up a Chapin 20V sprayer this past weekend. I have it coupled to the TeeJet AIXR110025 purple air induction nozzle (for preventive fungicide application) but I think I will up-size to the blue or red next time I use it.

Re: Nitrogen, TTTF, and my first summer in TN.

Full disclosure: The grubs are not the problem, the raccoons like them for a midnight snack. That is why I put it down. First time for me.

And the Preds won!!! (3OTs and at 0103 hrs - not that I was conscious at the final whistle).

Re: Nitrogen, TTTF, and my first summer in TN.

First rule for lawn care is patience. I get the overdoing everything but it is good to slow down and take a walk through the lawn and observe once in a while rather than sling stuff with the spreader. I say that after I slung some grubex last week LOL. I have milorganite reserved for later (like in ...

Re: Nitrogen, TTTF, and my first summer in TN.

My TTTF gets N only in Sept - Oct, and winterizer in December or so (although I have started putting Milorganite down in mid to late August). Spring N applications can lead to summer problems with cool season turf in the mid-South. HOC: I am at 2.5" and want to keep the HOC at 3" or less. I have a l...

Re: Just sprayed Triclopyr and Tenacity

Side note, it rained about 4 hours after application, will that affect it at all? Most likely no. If you added an adjuvant, certainly not? I used Hi Yield Spreader Sticker but that isn't an adjuvant is it? I guess i need to do some reading on that Yes spreader sticker is an adjuvant. Helps the acti...

Re: Just sprayed Triclopyr and Tenacity

Hi Zareth: I have sprayed Triclopyr at 0.75 oz/gal + Tenacity at 0.6 tsp (4 oz/acre) per gallon of water on TTTF a couple of times this spring. I think I read on the Tenacity label these were ok to tank mix together.

Agree with the member who said your front yard is looking good.
