Here are pictures taken at the end of May from last year, about 13 months ago and about when I started my ST6 Plan:

Re: Thanks Andy!
Just wanted to say a quick thanks to Andy! The lawn has dramatically improved over the last year thanks to you, and the many contributors to this forum. The attached shots are not re-touched (except for blurring of my address), but they were taken in ideal circumstances. It was sunny at the time, bu...

Re: 2017: What did you do on your lawn today?
I agree that it sounds like a lot. However, my soil test showed that my K levels are at 9 ppm and "ideal" is supposedly 30-55 ppm, therefore the recommendation was to drop 0-0-60 @ 11#/1000 sq ft. I was thinking of a more moderate approach, which would (at most) be dropping 0-0-50 at 10#/k. I'm not...

Re: Is this heat stress or a fungus?
Thanks Gary! I should have figured that out.
It seems to be improving so, for now, I went with an app of Serenade. If it starts to look worse, I will spot-spray with Propiconazole.

Is this heat stress or a fungus?
The past week has been in the low-90s with a 0.5" rainstorm. The lawn had some drought-stress near the end of the week, much of which has disappeared with another 0.5" of rain last night. However, there is a suspicious spot that looks like a fungus to me, but it doesn't match up exactly with the dis...

Re: Why isn't my pre-M working?
Thanks everyone. @GaryCinChicago. By GDD do you mean "growing degree days"? Then yes, I use that to time my pre-M app at around 225-250 GDD. I don't have a forsythia in my yard, but there are a handful of plants in my yard that begin to bud (not bloom) right around the same time as the 225-250 GDD v...

Re: Why isn't my pre-M working?
Thanks everyone. Per my soil test , I have a heavy, alkaline soil. My calcium:magnesium ratio is out of whack, but neither of those macro-nutrients is deficient. My phosphorous is low (156#/A this Spring, was 114#/A last Spring). Based on what I did last year and the impact, by interpolation I am es...

Re: Why isn't my pre-M working?
Yep. Thinking I need to get a different tip for my sprayer. The fan tip seems to result mostly in a foliar application where I am assuming the pre-M needs to get to the soil so I need bigger droplets. I live in a new development, and with one exception, the neighbor's NoMix lawns are also late to wa...

Re: Best OTC for Step 1 in Triangle Approach?
Thanks Andy. It was a last minute decision this afternoon to broadcast spray this weekend which is why I am looking at an OTC product. The Ortho seems closest as it has the 2,4-D and 2 of the 3 complementary herbicides.

Re: Why isn't my pre-M working?
My thought is the PRG wake ups earlier so it would get thicker/taller earlier and crowd out the weeds before they get established. Right now my lawn is slow to wake-up (spotty growth on Memorial Day weekend; last year I had spotty growth until late July) and it appears to me the weeds get establishe...

Why isn't my pre-M working?
The last two years I have had widespread weed issues in my lawn despite using a pre-M. I am trying to figure out what I am doing wrong. Last year I used the Hi-Yield Dimension product at bag-rate in late March and early August. I have had challenges establishing a new KBG lawn so I attributed the we...

Best OTC for Step 1 in Triangle Approach?
Despite putting down a pre-M barrier, I am going to need to broadcast spray for weeds. My question is what is the best OTC product for step 1 in the "Triangle Approach"? Ortho WBG + Crabgrass Control 2.13% Quinclorac, 6.42% 2,4-D, 0.60% Dicamba RoundUp for Lawns 3.85% MCPA, dimethylamine salt, 1.80%...

Re: Honda HRR 216 cut quality
@nocsious - I am in the same situation. As the lawn thickens up it gets worse, and as I raise the height it gets dramatically worse (2.5" is OK-to-good, 3.0" is a problem, and 3.5" is completely unacceptable). I have had the issue both with mulching and bagging. I have dealt with two different Honda...

Re: Greenrebellions Grass Grow - Poa Annua Monostand
Just throwing my experience out there since it was so similar... (similar geography, soil, timeline, 3rd party seeded a new establishment lawn, same source for the seed, similar outcome) In the Fall of 2015 my new lawn establishment was compost seeded in early August with KBG seed from SSS ("SS1100"...

Thanks double-e5!
My two local dealers strongly push Honda over Toro, including my preferred dealer who has an SR4 on display tagged as the 20381. That is giving me pause.

Re: Milorganite sale
I am curious what the in-stock quantities have been for those who visited a physical store. I had to go to 2 different Menards to pick up 8 bags last week; the first had 2 open bags left, the second one had none on the floor but had received a pallet that morning that had to be pulled from receiving...

Have you had a chance to mow with the 20381 yet? I am considering replacing my HRR with one.
