I tried the combo listed by DFW on a 2 gallon Round Up sprayer,
however, I can't get anything past the 15 psi control valve. Is it possible the Round Up sprayer doesn't generate more than 15 psi?

Re: ReD-BaRoN's soil test - Spring 2017
Thanks, Andy,
I'll keep the same regimen in place.
Nothing of real concern at this point. I think the lawn is in "fair" shape for the amount of time I'm able to dedicate to it. I know I can always do more and get it better, but time is usually not on my side.

Re: Adding sand to help with poor drainage
Be very careful with that approach. If you've actually got clay soil, you can make it worse if you don't add enough sand. Somebody on another forum added sand and wound up with soil he couldn't get apart without a pick. It's also possible that what you think is clay is actually already high in sand...

Adding sand to help with poor drainage
I have a trouble spot in my lawn which isn't draining well. My plan is to till in some sand to help with drainage, but I'm unsure how much and how deep.
Any ideas?

Soil for leveling
I've killed the grass and looking to level some low spots for my KBG Reno. Should I use straight top soil, or a top soil sand mix. My current soil is typical MA sandy soil.

Guys, just to chime in, it's not always the case that people realize they are accessing site via a proxy server, my company, for instance, routes all outbound web traffic via a proxy, unbeknownst to the end user. That being said, I don't know if you're blocking well know "bad" proxies, or just all p...

Very interesting, the label from HD's site is different from the compare and save site itself. Dish Detergent at surfacant for Glysophate
I'm using Compare and Save Weed killer [1] - prepping for my Reno. I've been adding Bonide Turbo Spreader Sticker, but I've run out, and it will take a while to get some. Can I use a dish detergent with this, and if so, how much? For reference, Bonide calls for 1 Tbls per gallon. [1] http://www.home...

Re: How much time to get one inch from your irrigation?
I still see neighbors with 6 or more rotors and wonder what nozzles they're using to stay within the max available GPM. So funny. I often think the same thing. I always wonder how much water they're really getting down. For all I know they could have a larger line going into their hose or a larger ...

Re: How much time to get one inch from your irrigation?
DS, sounds like you've done a lot of good work. You can split this up over 2 or more days. I have a well and can get about 11GPM @ 45psi based on my testing so far (GPM measured based on what nozzles I have in the rotors @ 45psi). I have to split up my 13 zones over two days. 6 on one day 7 the next...

Re: 2016: What did you do to or on your lawn today?
Pretty productive lawn day today. Trimmed hedges on the front. Trimmed, edged and mowed front and side. Lowered HOC in preparation for Reno. Was at 4" dropped it down to 3.5" today. Mowed backyard, still at 3" there. Plenty of growth from all the rain we have been getting. Continued to work on the ...
