Re: 2 gallon sprayers

I really like this Smith 190216 2-Gallon Max Contractor Sprayer With Heavy Duty 21-Inch Wand . It's a relatively inexpensive option if cost is a concern. I've had great success using two of these Smith sprayers for the past few years on my roughly 3/4 acres of lawn and gardens (plus woods). I don't ...

Re: Milorganite sale at true value for $6.99

Sold out online. Does HD price match? That was answered positively by a number of people in the Slickdeals thread, but it all depends on your HD. Same goes for Lowes. I ordered 52 bags yesterday. That's less than the 80 bags I ordered during last year's sale (after posting the FP deal over at Slick...

Re: Supplementing OM?

You're not totally new to OM amendment if you've been mulching the grass. That's the best OM amendment, and it takes little extra effort if not less than bagging. Mulch frequently, mulch everything. Definitely mulch every leaf, and don't bag unless you absolutely have to, like if you've let it grow ...

Re: A Possible World-Changer

I remember Tom McGuire from grad school. Apparently, he's the project lead of the compact fusion project, as noted in that video. Go Tom! That'd be a sweet project.

I usually make the 4.5 hour round trip once a year, to have it delivered might be worth my time.

Re: Where are all of the Milorganite sales?

Bay State isn't 3.50 when it gets delivered. That is only the pickup in Quincy price. [ Post made via Android ] http://aroundtheyard.com/forums2/images/mobile/Android.png Exactly. Bay State is roughly $6.70 delivered. If I had a full-ton truck or trailer, I'd probably make the ~87-mile round trip f...

Re: Where are all of the Milorganite sales?

ok, I'll bite. What are you a LCO? 2,880 pounds of Milorganite? How will you transfer delivery? By cube van or stake body truck? Holy Cow! that's a lot. It'll be four trips with a Subaru Outback to the True Value less than a mile away. I've got roughly 36,000 sq ft of lawn, so this order is only fo...

Re: Making a trip to Bay State Fertilizer

For those with large lawns (like me) or without a truck (like me), you may be interested to know that you can have Bay State delivered at a hair less than twice the price. I'm in Dracut, MA, with shy of an acre of lawn, and I can easily use one or two tons (pallets) each year. Don't get me wrong, I ...
