Re: 2018: What did you do on your lawn today?
Working my plan... Put down 6 bags of Milo with Zinc, Copper and Boron mixed in at 3 tablespoons/k, and sprayed some BLSC and KH for good measure. After the rain last week, the grass is looking pretty happy.

Progress report
I wanted to post a quick progress report and take a moment to say thank you! I started this process as a clueless homeowner thinking about my neglected lawn in April and stumbled across this site. I can't tell you how much I've learned just reading the FAQs, Articles and posts. What a treasure trove...

Tons of rain
I am in central PA and we have been pummelled with rain for over a week (6"+). It has rained significantly every day this week and I've had no windows to even cut it. My lawn is completely green and growing like crazy--the one third rule may get violated as the grass is now at 6"+. I'm also starting...

Over 4" of rain the past 24 hours for central PA. Watching the grass grow.

Re: Tenacity rate and mixing
Thanks for the feedback. KBGkicksazz, I had to laugh when I saw your response. I had created a little spreadsheet with tenacity and surfactant converted to ml for a 1 gallon batch . It looks like I am on the right track.

Re: Tenacity rate and mixing
I'm trying to figure out how to best mix and apply tenacity to kill bentgrass in several areas of my yard (6-7 patches that are about 3 feet across). Can I just mix a gallon using the formula above and apply with a hand sprayer? I have a hand sprayer and a Chamelon hose end sprayer as options. I'm t...

Ohhh...that hurts. Your homeowners insurance might cover it.This is me wrote: ↑July 20th, 2018, 10:17 amBacked up into a rock wall while mowing the lawn with my brand new 2 days old tank sprayer mounted in the rear. Broke the sprayer tips on the boom before I even get to use it!
Water this morning.

Re: 2018: What did you do on your lawn today?
Started on my soil plan from Andy... Calibrated my Scotts broadcast spreader for my 12-12-12 and applied 8lbs/K over the entire yard. Priced new spreaders since I'm going to be doing a lot of spreading and realized this 10+ year old Speedygreen isn't the best tool for the job

Re: Kentster Soil Test Evaluation
Quick question on application rates... I ended up getting 40 lbs of 12-12-12 for a better price and I assume more nutrients. At 10lbs/k, I estimated 3.25 40 lb bags at the 10lb/k rate for my 13k lawn. I recalculated my 12-12-12 at 2.7 40 lb bags for the 12-12-12. Is this correct? Also, can I safely ...

Re: Kentster Soil Test Evaluation
Great... I'll get started right away and report back.
One more thing... I was also planning to use Tenacity in the next week to spot treat an emerging bentgrass problem. Any special considerations as a ramp up this plan?
Thanks Andy!

Re: Kentster Soil Test Evaluation
Andy, Thanks for the interpretation and generally good news! I found Quaker Gap 10-10-10 at HD today that is about $14 per 40lb bag, so this should be a good source to get started with lifting the P & K. It says "Garden, Shrub and Flower - all purpose plant food", but it is pelletized and I'm guessi...

For a moment, I thought that was a bagger on the back. It then occurred too me that it is a parachute needed to slow this thing down from 150 MPH

Re: Driveway Repair: Anyone Used "Aquaphalt" Product?
I have a similar driveway with some cracking issues and this looks like great stuff. I have tried all manner of patching and sealing with poor results. Anxious to see how yours turns out.

Kentster Soil Test Evaluation
My soil test is attached. For some background, I am new to the site, but I have been reading quite a bit and trying to figure out as much as I can on my own. My lawn has been long neglected, so I am trying to get it back into shape. My goal is a nice lawn, but I am not worried about the "best in nei...

Wandering through my local ACE hardware and found them stocked with Milo. Bought all 6 bags. Oh and cut my lawn at 3.75". Getting ready for the heatwave.
